The Hideaway is the perfect place for you if you want to relax and unwind. Set in beautiful countryside, the Hideaway offers bespoke accommodation built just for 2. Accessed via a private driveway the Hideaway offers a comfy sofa which transforms into a king-size bed. A small-yet-perfectly formed kitchenette complete with a fridge freezer and double hob occupies one end of the cabin with an ensuite shower room at the other. A fantastic base for exploring all that North Wales has to offer. Modern, yet cosy the Hideaway is a perfect place to get away from it all. Enjoy dramatic views of the mountain as you sip your favourite tipple on the decking or snuggle up in front of the log burner with a good book. Towels and bedding are supplied as well as cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and cooking utensils. The local pub is just a 5 minute walk away. Although we live on site the Hideaway is completely private and we tend not to have much interaction with guests. However we are always at the end of the phone if needed. The Hideaway is situated on our small farm in Minera, on the edge of the Cwydian range in North East Wales. It’s a truly special place full of wildlife and many species of plants and flowers. We farm to promote wildlife and biodiversity. We keep several species of rare breed farm animals who help us manage our land. We also grow lettuce, other salad crops and edible flowers which we supply to many of the excellent restaurants, cafes, pubs and farm shops in the local area. Minera was once, not so long ago, a bustling industrial village with many mines and quarry workings. With the industry gone, nature has taken over although industry has left it's mark. Walk along disused railway tracks, past limestone kilns to see some of the best displays of orchids and wildflowers in the UK. There are many fantastic walks from the doorstep (maps are provided) however, if you fancy venturing further afield there are two National Trust properties within a short drive as well as the World Heritage Ponycysytlle aqueduct and the historic city of Chester about a 20 minute drive away. If you are feeling more adventurous we are minutes away from Coed Llandegla mountain bike centre. Surrounded by great walks, amazing countryside and interesting things to do, the hideaway is perfect for a relaxing holiday or short break away. Plenty of good walking routes for all abilities (maps are provided). 5 minutes walk from bus stop
