A unique historic tower with with a cosy modern interior , this is the ideal location for a private break away in a tower all to yourselves! Nisbet’s Tower sleeps 2 , It has one bedroom with double bed, and can accommodate up to 2 young children. If you are bringing your children, they will enjoy the play park that is near the tower, the beach, amusement arcade, bowling alley and our own smugglers museum (access from the harbour side under Gunsgreen House April-Oct). The Tower also has a Sofa Bed in the living room which can accommodate a further 2 adults or older children. Please let us know if your require this option. There is an additional charge of £50 for the Sofa Bed. ** The Tower consists of a double bedroom and shower room on the ground floor, with stairs up to an open-plan living, dining and kitchen are on the first floor. It benefits from a lovely outdoor area with spectacular views across Eyemouth harbour and out to sea. Please also note that dogs must not be allowed on any furniture or the shower area and must not be left unattended in the Tower. Exclusive use of the Tower. The tower is ideally situated to explore Eyemouth and the East Berwickshire coast, including the stunning villages of Coldingham and St Abbs. Eyemouth town centre is just a ten minute scenic walk across the harbour, where plenty local amenities are situated including a supermarket, post office and local gift shops. There are also plenty places to eat and drink, we recommend relaxing in Oblo Bar & Bistro with a delicious meal, or sampling award-winning local fish & chips and ice cream from Giacopazzi’s. There are a number of nearby attractions, including Gunsgreen House itself (guests benefit from a free tour), Eyemouth Town Museum, Eyemouth Maritime Centre and a booth on the harbour-side where fish can be bought to feed the local seals- a favourite with children. Other things to do include taking an exhilarating boat ride on Eyemouth Rib Trips, or practising your golfing skills at Eyemouth Golf Club (famed for its 6th hole across the sea, voted ‘Britain’s No.1 Most Extraordinary Golf Hole’). Shop locally for food, crafts and gifts at St Abbs Market - every Friday in The Ebba Centre. For avid walkers, why not explore nearby St Abbs Head, a national nature reserve, or challenge yourself to complete ‘The Smugglers’ Trail’ along the Berwickshire Coastal Path from Burnmouth to Cove. Gunsgreen House is itself part of this trail.
