Goat Cottage

Goat Cottage is a rustic 'glamping' barn in the Italian mountains near Bologna, Modena and Parma. The cottage is a romantic retreat for 2 people, it has a patio with BBQ and a pool, an outdoor bathtub. Goat Cottage is a former goat shed in the Italian Appennines. It sleeps two people, and consists of a comfortable double bed, with crisp clean linen, 2 armchairs, dining table and two chairs. A fridge, kitchen sink, small kitchen cupboard, two ring hob. Kettle and toaster. All crockery/cutlery/cookware. Shower room with H & C water, eco (composting) toilet. Towels/tea-towels also provided. Outside there is a patio area with BBQ, outdoor table and chairs, sun loungers, a hammock and over-ground pool. At night the outside area will be lit by pretty solar strings. There is a DVD player, but no TV signal, and WIFI on site, but not in the cabin. A hairdryer, straighteners, and an iron available on request. Guests will be invited to help themselves to any in season vegetables from the garden and fresh eggs will also be available. A selection of fresh herbs will also be growing near the BBQ area. We are situated 1.5 hours from both Parma and Bologna airports. So our guests won't need to go shopping on the day of arrival we offer a complimentary welcome basket,(for weekly rentals) with wine, bread, pasta, sauce, tea, coffee and a number of Italian treats. Alternatively they can choose to have a 3 course meal cooked on site with wine for 30 euro per head. Please note this is 'Glamping' like camping but more comfortable, a bed in a shed. Nicer than a tent but not a hotel. Also available airport taxi from Bologna or Parma, cooked meals, laundry service (fees on request) This is 'glamour camping' It is rural and rustic, we have pets and we live with nature, there will be wildlife, birds, bugs, cats, chickens and dogs. If you have allergies, fears or dislikes to any of the above please consider this when choosing this holiday. Like camping there are no external locks, any items of value should be kept with you, alternatively your host will store them for you in the main house. We have mountain spring water so we encourage guests to refrain from bringing plastic bottles, we operate a zero waste policy so any rubbish or recycling should be removed on departure and left at the bins in the village.
