Yia Sou Corfu! "Kolibri"

Yia Sou! Possibly the most essential Greek expression of greeting and one of the most common phrases in Greece. 'yia sou ' (=ja:su) is an informal way of saying: hello! What your Greek phrasebook probably won't tell you though, is that 'yia' is a shortened form of the word 'iyia'(=iji:a, υγεία), which means ‘’health’’. In Greece you greet people by literally wishing them good health! So... Yia Sou and Welcome to Corfu! Descpription of the apartment: This cozy and fully renovated apartment (size 65m2) is located in the traditional Village of Sinarades in the Western side of Corfu island. The Village is only 12-13km away from the airport and the historical city of Corfu town. Few of the most popular beaches of the island, such as Kontogialos, Agios Gordios, Mirtiotissa, Yialiskari and Glyfada, are only a short ride away. If you like hiking, there are some great trails around here and a pathway (about 2,5km) leading to the sea. The apartment is located on the first floor of a small buildind with two bedrooms (2double beds each one),a sitting area with a sofa bed and a private (Website hidden by Airbnb) kitchen is fully equipped with household utensils. There are also balconies overlooking the back garden and the road. Free parking space is available in front of the appartment. A welcome basket with local handmade products is offered. Organic apricot and strawberry jams, homemade granola and cake made with pure ingredients,as also buns, butter and Greek honey are included in the breakfast basket,which you can enjoy with your coffee or tea. Close to the apartment (about 100-200m) you can find mini markets for your daily shopping, butcher shop,greek taverns and a farmacy. Guests have also the opportunity to visit the Folklore Museum of Sinarades. Moreover, opposite the apartment there is a bus station providing daily regular passenger transport services to Corfu Town. The panoramic view that the location "Aerostato" offers, is one of the must seen sightseeιngs of Sinarades Village and is only 8min walking distance from the house,or just a 2min drive away.
