Welcome in the "Chez Barbara", a small and cozy Bed & Breakfast in the idyllic, but central village of Habsburg. I offer two lovely bedrooms & delicious homemade delicacies for breakfast. I am looking forward to meeting you, Barbara My name is Barbara Steuri & I am the mother of grown up children. I am an open-minded person and I am always looking forward to meeting new adventures. I live - together with my 2 dogs - in an idyllic and tiny village called Habsburg. A beautiful garden surrounds my house. I am an active person and interested in taking part in public life. I am a passionate cook and love having guests at home to whom I can serve my freshly cooked meals. Two abandoned bedrooms led me to the idea to open a Bed & Breakfast. On warm days I will serve you your breakfast in the garden, on cold days you’ll have a seat in the winter garden. As you can see on the photographs as many dishes as possible are homemade - such as the confitures or the bread. Two cozy rooms are waiting for you. It is a perfect accommodation option in your vacation or to relax from a stressful business day. The two lovely decorated bedrooms are well furnished and provide everything you need for a peaceful night. In the bedrooms there are many books and magazines to bury yourself and a waterbed to sleep very well. In the garden there is plenty of space to spend some time. The village is a calm place but nevertheless close to major cities. You can reach my Bed & Breakfast by public transport (careful: only 1 to 2 buses per hour), by feet or bicycle on one of the many trails or by car. There are two available parking spaces right in front of the house. Major cities are conveniently situated - it takes 30 minutes to Zurich, and one hour to Lucerne, Bern and Basel. I am a dog owner – my dog is called Bashga and an Irish setter – and would love to welcome other dogs. There is plenty of space for them in the garden that is bounded by a fence. Bashga is a lovely, but hairy dog - although I clean as best as I can, it might happen, that you`ll find a dog hair. I am looking forward to meeting you & would be very happy to welcome you at “Chez Barbara”. Besides to the private room and bathroom, guests have access to the garden, living room & winter garden. I like being a host & love to welcome people from all over the world. Chatting with my guests, while we are having a cup of tea or coffee & some pastry, is a pleasure for me. Habsburg is an idyllic, calm & friendly village. Surrounded by fields and forests, it is a perfect place to relax & enjoy nature. On good, bright days even the Swiss Alps are visible. The castle is impressive & the view from there is unique. The village is calm, but centrally located & close to major cities in Switzerland. There is a parking space for the car in front of the house. Zurich is a good half hour away; Lucerne, Basel and Bern each an hour. The motorways can be reached in a few minutes. The village of Habsburg is pleasantly quiet and yet very close to the centre. Chez Barbara" can be reached by public transport (I will gladly provide the timetable on request // approx. 1 to 2 connections per hour from/to Brugg AG). For the sporty guests, hiking and cycling trails pass by the front door.
