Located in a small corner of paradise and tranquillity on the altopiano of the Karst, in an environmentally-protected area (Natura 2000) and in a secluded location 2 km from the nearest village, we want to offer you a relaxing outdoor holiday made up of relaxing walks, Nordic walking routes and cycle tourism with healthy and traditional food. Within a few miles you can visit the most interesting places in Friuli Venezia Giulia and nearby Slovenia (15 km). The “Alture di Polazzo” Rural Park is the first farm in Friuli Venezia Giulia to have obtained European Ecology (Website hidden by Airbnb) certification and thus the apartment observes criteria for sustainability and energy saving. The apartment is located on the ground floor and consists of a double bedroom, bathroom with shower, living room with sofa, table and chairs, fully equipped kitchenette (stove, refrigerator, pots and pans, dishes, plates, etc.), flatscreen TV, internet Wi-Fi, a terrace with a panoramic view and a parking space. The apartment is ideal for adult couples who want to stay in a calm setting and move around under their own steam in an excellent setting from a logistical perspective to visit the historical, cultural and natural treasures of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia and nearby Slovenia (15 km). The property is equipped with a relaxation pool with Jacuzzi seating, sun loungers, a solarium and Wi-Fi coverage together with a barbecue area and, in the case of medium to long stays, there is the possibility to use the laundry room with washing machine and biodegradable detergents. For those who enjoy healthy and regenerating trips in Nature you can undertake short or more challenging walks, or use the bio-farm’s bicycles following the trail maps covering the area, available in the reception or arrange a personal guided visit. For those who own an electric car the bio-farm has specially set-up parking spaces for recharging the batteries. Our organic farm is a family business and we all live together in houses close to the apartments. We will therefore be pleased to welcome you and get to know you, but above all we will be happy to accompany you in the course of our day-to-day rural and family life, visiting the open range grazing lands (with cows, donkeys, sheep and pigs) comfortably seated aboard the “Electric Agribus” for a unique and unusual experience. The apartment is suitable for couples while the natural area surrounding the organic farm is ideal for experiential activities such as walking, cycling tours, visits to other small local agricultural enterprises that will help you get to know their authenticity and their incomparable natural products. From our organic farm you can visit the most interesting places in the region: - Towns and cities like Trieste, Aquileia - Palmanova and Cividale del Friuli (all three UNESCO World Heritage Sites), Ljubljana (the capital of Slovenia - 1 hour away), Venice (1 hour by train); - The Castles of Miramare, Duino and Gorizia; - The famous tourist caves (the Grotta Gigante, Postojna Caves and Skocjanske Jame, the latter a World Heritage Site); - the Regional nature reserves (Lake Doberdò, Val Rosandra, Isola della Cona, the Duino cliffs, etc.); - The Upper Adriatic beaches (Sistiana Bay, Grado and Lignano) On request it is possible to undertake other unique experiences such as: - Donkey trekking (walks following the donkeys) - Courses from wool to felt-making - Cycle tourism routes with guide - The collection of wild herbs and their use in the kitchen - Excursions with a historical guide looking at the First World War - Hiking with a Nordic-walking instructor.
