For those with a penchant for shopping, the Amber Valley Individual Factory Shops Trail is a must and includes McArthurGlen retail outlet, De Bradelei Mill Shop at Belper, Denby Potteries and Royal Crown Derby. There are farmers’ and regular weekly markets in many of the nearby towns including Belper, Bakewell and Ashbourne. Alton Towers, Britains premier theme park, is close by. Younger children will also enjoy Gullivers Kingdom at nearby Matlock. Peak district offers great experiences for water sport enthusiasts who can enjoy the excellent facilities at Carsington Water, whilst Shipley Country Park has miles of meandering footpaths and bridleways. Woodside house is located 100 metres from Ambergate train station, perfect to catch the train to all the local tourist attractions including Matlock bath and Bakewell or visit a local city for some shopping.
