Largo Bay - Harbour Hideaway - St Andrews Open
This charming garden flat in the seaside village of Lower Largo sits by the river that flows into the Firth of Forth. Centrally located in a secluded corner behind the harbour and surrounded by mature trees it has a small private area to the front and a larger shared lawned garden. Newly renovated to a high standard in January '21, this self catered property is perfectly situated for local amenities and links to St Andrews, Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee. Set in a peaceful spot with off street parking, this comfortable 1 level property offers easy living with all new facilities throughout including furniture, soft furnishings, towels and bed linen. The double bedroom at the back of the property has a double wardrobe with plenty hanging space and shelves. The living room has a double sofa bed for extra guests, although once made up is slightly smaller than a double bed so I would recommend use for 2 children or 1 adult...unless a couple are happy to snuggle up close! The wall mounted TV moves to suit all angles. The dining table by the window in the living room extends to easily seat 4. The newly fully equipped galley kitchen has all new appliances. The bathroom offers both a bath and separate shower. Please note there is small step up to reach the toilet, sink and bath. A large cupboard in the hallway houses an iron & ironing board, wash & laundry baskets, hoover, extra stools for seating, shelving for towels & bed linen and hook for outdoor coats. A new solid wood floor has been fitted and all windows have new blackout blinds. There is Superfast Fibre Broadband, a wall mounted Smart TV with Netflix and USB charging point in the living room. Games, children’s toys and beach towels are supplied for your use along with a beach trolley to make your walk to the beach much easier. A baby travel cot and high chair are available on request at no extra charge. Access to the property is uphill via a narrow driveway under the viaduct which opens up at the top to an off street car park. The driveway is easily accessed by average sized vehicles, larger vehicles may be parked on the street. A few metres walk from your car is the garden gate and onto a short path with 6 steps up to the front door of the property. The building consists of 6 flats in total, all of which are owner occupied by 1 resident each so is very quiet. All residents are very friendly and will happily welcome you to our beautiful coastal village. Living only minutes from the property I will be available during your stay and contactable via mobile at all times. Lower Largo, once a thriving fishing village is situated in the coastal East Neuk of Fife. It offers a tranquil and laid back atmosphere with local golf, tennis, bowling & sailing clubs. During the 3rd week in July Largo Arts Week welcomes visitors to homes and studios where locals display their creative talents. Art workshops, a lively music scene, street food and beach competitions add a lively vibe to the village during this time. The harbour, beach, local shop, pub and bus stop are all under 2 minutes walk from the property. Largo Bay, part of a 4.5 mile stretch of beach starting at Leven and stretching to Shell Bay is part of the 117 mile (187km) Fife Coastal Path. Award winning farm shops, restaurants and breweries are all a short drive away. The nearby bus stop provides transport links to the rest of Scotland...within 1 hour from the cities of Perth, Dundee, Edinburgh and Stirling. Historic towns of St Andrews, Crail, Pittenweem, Elie, Dunfermline, Falkland, Ceres and Culross are all within 10 to 30 minutes drive away.
