4 Person Gatekeepers Holiday Cottage Snowdonia

A charming 2 bedroom holiday cottage situated at the entrance to the tree lined driveway of 5* Plas Dinas Country House, which we own. All of our cottages are dog friendly with no additional charge for your dogs to join you on your holiday in North Wales. Located in just a 5 minute drive to the castle town of Caernarfon or Dinas Dinlle beach, a 18 minute drive to Mount Snowdon, 20 minutes to the Isle of Anglesey or a short drive to the world famous Zip World. The historic Victorian Cottage is located at the entrance to the Plas Dinas estate, famous in Wales as the former home of the Armstrong-Jones family. (Anthony Armstrong-Jones was the famous Lord Snowdon, married to Princess Margaret) and the main house still contains many family items and memorabilia. Downstairs you will find a cosy lounge with fireplace and tv, a seperate dining room, a seperate, fully-equipped kitchen, a seperate laundry with washing machine & tumble dryer, as well as a downstairs toilet. Upstairs are two good size bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a choice of twin or double bed. There is a cosy bathroom with oval bath/shower. You have access to the full cottage within the grounds of Plas Dinas. You are welcomed to join us at Plas Dinas with an award winning restaurant and Afternoon Tea menu being served Tuesday - Saturday. Afternoon Tea is also available on a Sunday. We do ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice for any Afternoon Tea bookings. You are also welcome to walk around the extensive grounds of Plas Dinas including the Mount which offers incredible views. Check in is between 4pm & 9pm. We can sometimes allow early check in if available. Check out is 10am Bontnewydd is a friendly village just outside Caernarfon less than a 5 minute drive from Caernarfon Castle, Foryd Bay and just 18 minutes from Llanberis and Mount Snowdon. Looking to challenge yourself to the wonders of Snowdon? Llanberis is just 17 minutes drive from the cottage. Surrounded by incredible walks, Europes longest Zip Wire and picturesque backdrops you will be sure to find an activity to suit you within just a short drive of your stay. We are also a short drive away from the historic Caernarfon Castle, the island of Anglesey and Beddgelert #FindYourEpic #VisitWales Plas Dinas is the perfect place for Afternoon Tea and the award-winning dining experience (Tuesday - Saturday). We even provide a torch for a romantic walk along the unofficially named Squirrel Row. Birds of prey, rabbits and squirrels are often seen here within the 15 acres f land that you have access to.
