Peaceful & relaxing B&B in ancient French convent

An 18th century convent school in the heart of a picturesque village in the Haute Loire. Peaceful surroundings with large gardens, secluded, leafy courtyard and only the sound of birdsong in the air. Spacious rooms, with great views and ensuite. The convent has been recently renovated and comes with all amenities, including wifi, separate guest lounge, village parking. Children & families welcome John & Samia, live on the property and will happily provide information on all the current local festivals, "vide greniers", historic sites and leisure activities. Peaceful and quiet with easy access to mushroom filled forests and countryside walks. Local historic towns of Allegre and St Paulien within 10km radius. Visit the spectacular Allier Gorge with its villages overlooking the river, nearby is the Chateau of Lafayette and of course Le Puy on Velay with its UNESCO churches and monuments perched high on top of volcanic plugs is only a 20 minute drive away. Although there are many country walks available, the nearest cafe & boulangerie are 3km away, so a car is necessary. There is a train station at Darsac 3km away and we are happy to pick up and drop off guests from there.
