The Henhouse Inn on Cold Creek

Open for winter! Cute and cozy 1 bedroom escape for 2 at the Henhouse Inn at Cold Creek on our 40 acre country homestead. Very quiet getaway with chicken décor & many vintage touches. Fully equipped- has everything you should need during your stay. Hike our trails along the creek back into the hills and enjoy nature & our plentiful wildlife. Short drive to skiing. Please read house rules before booking. Our guesthouse is located in the front of our big red barn facing spring-fed Cold Creek. We have a mini-homestead with 17 pet chickens, a German Shorthaired Pointer, a Flemish Giant Rabbit Honey Bunny and lots of assorted wildlife. We have marked trails thru the woods back into the hills that are over 2 miles in length. Trail maps are in Henhouse Inn. Grab one before you head out. We're located about a mile from town and Intermediate Lake is across the road with a public access just down the road a few houses if you want to swim, etc. Just a short drive to Torch Lake, Lake Bellaire, golfing, skiing, shopping, etc. Lake Michigan Beach at Barnes Park is about a 10 minute drive as well. Recreational paradise! Guests will have full access to the apartment and use of the porch and firepit. They can walk the many trails out behind the place up into the hills. We are located just outside the quaint village of Central Lake. Downtown is probably a little over a mile from our place. Intermediate Lake is just across the road and there's a public access where you can swim just a couple houses down on the lake side. From the bridge in Central Lake you can travel the Upper Chain of Lakes-Hanley, Benway, Wilson and Ellsworth Lakes which goes into Lake St. Clair and Six Mile Lakes. Lake Michigan beaches are about a 10 minute drive. There are a lot of good restaurants, golfing, skiing and shopping within a 15 minute drive of our place. Check-out time 10 a.m. Only 2 registered guests max. No parties or gatherings. Sorry, no pets. Quiet time after 11 p.m.
