A private driveway takes you to your parking area, directly outside your own private entranceway. From here the staircase leads you up stairs to a superb open plan lounge, dining and mini kitchen area. On the raised platform is the super king bed, fabulous bathroom and dressing area, and for that extra 'wow factor' the sunken air spa bath for 2 people. Through the patio doors in the lounge area you can access the spacious balcony with comfy garden furniture, to relax and watch the sunset. The penthouse suite is completely self-contained, making this a very private and luxurious retreat for two guests. Our Reception, just across the lane, is open everyday and we are always happy help with local information, walks, places to visit or anything else you may need. The suites are located in the picturesque village of Hawkshead, notable one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District, with four Lakeland pubs with restaurants, and lots of tearooms and local shops. This is a very central location to discover all this wonderful area has to offer, with fabulous walks and cycling from your doorstep. There is private parking outside the Suites. If travelling by public transport the nearest train station from Hawkshead is Windermere which is 25 minute taxi journey or a 40 minute bus journey (route 505). There is a taxi rank and bus stop directly outside the station. The last bus directly from Windermere to Hawkshead leaves at 16.35 during the summer. During your stay there is an hourly bus from Hawkshead village to Coniston, Ambleside and Windermere with the last bus returning leaving Ambleside at 18.30.
