Studio Ocean Drive

João Jungle, located in the village of Assafora, offers three family apartments and one tastefully renovated studio apartment in the outbuilding of the villa adjoining the terrace with the swimming pool. Located in the northern part of the Unesco World Heritage Sintra Cascais Natural Park with the ocean just a few hundred meters away and only a 30-minute drive to the centre of Lisbon, the accommodation is perfectly fit for guests that enjoy nature, sports and cultural activities. Studio 1 ''Ocean Drive'' comprises of an open sleeping area with a double bed (160 x 200), a kitchenette equipped with an electric cooker and fridge, a bathroom with shower, heating cable TV, internet and iron board & iron and amenities. It furthermore includes a small dining table and a large outside terrace/patio overlooking the pool. Suitable for one or two people. Studio 1 ''Ocean Drive'' is located South/West. Guests may make use of the outside BBQ, the pool and the outdoor bar. Laundry facilities available at additional cost. We will be available on the spot as the owners also live on the property. The owner, your host Johanna, lives in the main house and will absolutely see to it and advise you in order to make your stay enjoyable! Assafora is a village in the northern part of Sintra Cascais National Park in a rustic and rugged environment near the Atlantic Ocean with oceans views from the mansion. In the small village of Assafora you will find a great extensive local supermarket, an authentic Portuguese butcher and a pharmacy within walking distance. There are several local cafes and restaurants around the corner. There is a MB (Multi Banco) machine in the village of Assafora and nearby, in Cavoeira. In Portugal, banks are open from 08:30 to 14:00 from Monday to Friday. In addition, Assafora is surrounded by the attractive beach of Saõ Julião and the impressive cliffs with view over the Atlantic Ocean. Centrally located near multiple world-renowned surf spots up north from Ericeira, the surf-capital of Portugal to Peniché and Nazaré only an hour drive and nearby to the south (Cascais), you can enjoy the beauty of other famous beaches for surfing, kite surfing, windsurfing, fishing, swimming and sailing and more. For instance, Praia do Quincho, close to the city of Cascais/Estoril (famous for its beautiful golf courses). For the culture lovers the nearby attractions such as the medieval village of Obidos and Mafra (National Palace, Mafra Tapada) are a must, while Lisbon (30-minute drive) offers a multitude of cultural attractions and museums. Culinary highlights and nightlife can be found in Ericeira, Sintra and Cascais and of course in Lisbon. From Casa João Jungle the international airport is easy to reach at just 42 km distance. During high season Assafora remains an oasis of calm and peace and tourism here embodies the laid-back, natural atmosphere which each evening is enriched with a unique sunset. We suggest the best way to get around is by car. Lisbon Airport offers numerous car rental lots. Also, there is a bus connection (443) from Asssafora to Ericeira (and vice versa) and from Assafora to Sintra (and vice versa) every half hour.
