Takapoto Estate, is a 600 acre property that sits on Lake Karapiro. A park that accommodates vineyards, a market garden, resident bees, a year round pantry for the birds of Maungatautari mountain, livestock, a horse breeding program, and equestrian training and competition facilities. All this sits in amongst swathes of rejuvenated bush and kilometres of walkways that take you on enchanted journeys and reveal tranquil vistas. The restoration of the land is the foundation of the project. Brand new 1 bedroom cottage with full kitchen facilities built lakeside. The pantry and fridge will be stocked with breakfast items produced and harvested from our own chickens, bee’s, Angus beef, vineyard, olive tree’s and market garden for your enjoyment. Provided is a Weber BBQ for use, we would like to share our hand selected provisions from our Market Garden and Premium Cuts from our Angus Bulls for you to indulge for your evening meal. The property is a working farm/park, you will see people around during your stay although a fair distance away.
