Our staff are dedicated to providing you with exceptional, friendly service ensuring you an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Located close to the airport, hospital, sporting fields, shops and eateries, our complex has a playground, salt water swimming pool, grassed lawns and covered barbecue huts. These air conditioned, self-contained rooms include desk seating plus a lounge chair, kitchen with 2 hob electric cooker, pots & pans, electric frypan, toaster, kettle, portable electric fan forced convection oven, full sized 2 door fridge/freezer, crockery, cutlery & glassware as well as an LCD TV, free FOXTEL & Wi-Fi, iron/ironing board, separate bathroom with shower & free toiletries and are suitable for up to 2 people with 1 queen bed. A guest laundry is available on site and all units have 16 channels of Foxtel and undercover parking. We also provide open air parking for caravans, boats, trailers and high vehicles on a first in first served basis. Our rooms comfortably cater for the single traveller to large groups, for overnight, mid or long-term stays. The standard studios are located on the right hand side of the motel on the ground floor. You will have access to your room and the guest laundry, park, playground, BBQ huts and swimming pool. The manager is available at reception during office hours. Please advise if you will be checking in outside office hours so we can advise our after hours access procedure. Conveniently located on the Nebo Road highway, Rover Units are within easy walking distance of dining, supermarket, hotel and medical facilities and the start of the park run. It's a short drive from restaurants, Mackay Airport, Mackay Base Hospital, Mater Misericordiae Hospital and shopping at Mackay City Centre and Canelands Central. The Rover is also close to visitor points of interest like Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens, ArtSpace, The MECC, Canelands, Bluewater Lagoon, Mackay Orchid House, city centre and more. Public transport bus service is close by on Nebo Road and Mackay has a good taxi service. Directions From the north: Take the Bruce Highway (A1) south to Mackay and turn right onto Nebo Road at Mackay. Travelling south, go through the next 3 sets of lights, the last ones being on Bridge Road, and get into the right hand lane. Travel just past the Shamrock Hotel on the left hand side and turn right into Donaldson Street. Do a u-turn, go back along Nebo Road in a northerly direction and enter the first driveway into 174 with a playground on the corner. You have arrived! From the south: Take the Bruce Highway (A1) north to Mackay and that road becomes Nebo Road at Mackay. Still travelling north, go through the big set of lights at Peak Downs Highway, then the set of lights at Lagoon Street. Travel past the next 3 streets, the last one being Donaldson Street. The Rover is the first driveway after Donaldson Street, number 174 with a playground on the corner. You have arrived!
