Not far from Litchfield National Park, your private rural stay will surround you with endless walking trails and stunning waterfall hikes. Discover serenity at Girraween Rural Retreat—a self-contained cabin in the heart of the countryside, that has an open-plan design with a bright and breezy outdoor deck. Timber like flooring and modern appliances are complemented by large windows that frame the space; while a stunning outdoor deck offers expansive views of the lush greenery and the garden. Enjoy a kitchen that is fully equipped with premium appliances including a gas stove, full-sized fridge, large oven, coffee machine, microwave and all the cooking utensils you’ll need. You can opt to use the BBQ located on the outdoor deck. You have a choice to dine indoors, or stay outdoors on the private deck, offering bar-top seating facing the garden or a comfortable lounge. A daybed on the front deck completes your outdoor comfort. A fire pit is provided with seating. Use is dependent on local fire warnings of the day. Inside you’ll find a living room with a two-person leather couch sitting opposite a flat-screen TV. A cosy bedroom has black-out blinds, built-in cupboards and a plush queen bed. There is direct access to the outdoor rear deck, providing an alternative private space and a view of lush greenery through the bedroom’s glass door. A spacious bathroom features a generous shower and a large vanity. Additions include undercover parking, wi-fi, air conditioning, a blue tooth speaker and a washing machine. You’ll be sharing the property with the owners who stay in the main house. They are happy to show you around the property’s bush track, explain the local bush life and introduce you to their gorgeous domesticated dingoes. The owner also offers photography workshops. However, the real treat of Girraween Rural Retreat is staying disconnected from it all. Reconnect with nature on a peaceful escape framed by national parks and waterfalls. The stunning surrounding landscape offers enough activity for you time away. Litchfield National Park is just an hours’ drive away and offers a spectacular combination of misty waterfalls, lush waterholes and stunning vine forests. Nature lovers should look at doing a leg of the Tabletop Track—which totals 39 kilometres—for a picturesque experience filled with waterfalls, boulders and sandstone formations. Or spend warm days relaxing by the stunning outdoor pool at the property.
