A secluded, self-contained Victorian cottage next to an ephemeral creek, surrounded by native eucalypt and acacia trees with semi-open views of the rolling hills to the north. Enjoy the songs of the native birds, see the stars at night, relax in the clean, quiet country air with no close neighbours to disturb the tranquility. Featuring an open-living kitchen and lounge area, bedroom and bathroom. The wood heater/stove keeps the cottage nice and warm and can also be used to boil the kettle or cook a meal . Ample cut wood will be provided for your stay. Electric heating and cooling is also available. Kitchen with electric cooktop & benchtop oven/air fryer (no under bench oven), dishwasher, fridge/freezer. Loungeroom has a comfy 3-seater chaise lounge, 2 seater sofa, a coffee table and a Bluetooth dock for tunes. Comfortable queen bed with bedside drawers and electric blanket. The cottage has its own driveway and parking. Guest are free to walk the 20 acres, relax on the deck or by the indoor fire. Positioned in a secluded location on a quiet road approximately 10km south of Buninyong (approx. 10km from Ballarat). Buninyong has botanic gardens, a supermarket, pub with restaurant, bakery, woodfire pizzeria, winery, fine dining restaurants, native bushfood store, a bank and many other restaurants and business. Your hosts are available via phone, email or via the app. We live on the property so can quickly provide assistance if required. The cottage is situated proximal to an ephemeral creek. It is surrounded by native eucalyptus and acacia trees with semi-open views of the rolling hills to the north. Enjoy the songs of the native birds and the quiet country air with no close neighbours to disturb the tranquility. Car is the best way to get to the nearest town of Buninyong or Ballarat. Buses also run from Buninyong to Ballarat on the regular. Enjoy a peaceful walk around the bush or take your mountain bike for a ride on the Durham Lead/Scotsburn mountain bike track. Wi-Fi and Telstra 4g service available (possibly optus) Clothes dryer available on request The host's live on the property but the cottage is a reasonable distance from the main dwelling, you can interact with us as much or as little as possible.
