Dawesley Cottage at The Brae
Come and get away from the city in to this country retreat. Experience the beauty and quiet of this Stone Cottage. Originally built as one of the first buildings of the small township of Dawesley - it served as the office to an Old Copper smelter. Rich with culture and history it is now a quiet retreat for you to recharge your batteries. Only a 20 Minute drive to Hahndorf & Woodside it has endless opportunities for beautiful lunches and lazy afternoons. We have renovated this old stone cottage to be the perfect couples retreat. Lots of eateries and wineries in the area will be the backdrop to beautiful lazy lunches. On the property you can relax with the animals, we have sheep - chickens and horses on site. Not to forget the many wild native animals you will also be able to see. We have some great experiences on site, friendly chickens to feed and collect eggs, 5 sheep that love cuddles more than anything else and paddock hills to treck and find lookout spots for picnics and enjoy wonderful sunsets. We live on the same property and are thus generally available for any question. We love to meet new people but won't be in your face if you are after privacy The cottage is conveniently located on a corner of our 40 acre property, walking trails and stunning views are all here as are all the farm animals to meet and cuddle. We live on site, merely 50 metres away but conveniently facing opposite directions. Lots of quirky shops and cafe's less than 5 minutes drive. The Kidman trail is very close and there are lots of walking trails like the Laratinga Wetlands, Mount Barker Summit and Monarto Zoo at only 30 minutes.
