There are just 6 apartments in the block. The apartment is on the 2nd floor and there is a lift. The whole apartment is yours for the duration - lounge, kitchen, outside utility, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and an outside balcony. It is around 40sqm. There is a pool across the road that is part of the complex and can be used. Chairs are provided in the apartment to take over to the pool. We have friends who manage the apartment when we are not there and they will meet you and interact and help with any questions. We have a book with suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. Please contact me if you have any questions about the apartment or the area to help you making your choice. Benahavis is known as the gastronomical centre of the Costa del Sol with excellent restaurants and bars on your doorstep. In the height of summer there would be a choice of around 30. The hiking around the village is also very good - pretty hilly with gorgeous views. There is a reservoir which has a lovely flat walk around it too. We are about 50 km from Ronda which is worth a visit. We are 15 minutes from Puerto Banus or Marbella and about 20 minutes to Estepona and 15 mins to San Pedro. There is a great choice of beaches right along the coast - Nueva Andalucia Mistral Beach is a favourite of ours and you can walk to Puerto Banus from there along the coastal boardwalk. So many places to visit and things to do from Benahavis and then at night time you can stay local, eat amazing food, enjoy great hospitality in the bars and not need to drive at all! There are over 70 golf courses on the Costa del Sol and Benahavis is a great location from which to enjoy a game and have relaxing evenings in Benahavis sitting on the cobbled streets and eating amazing dinners of fresh fig, suckling pig a local speciality or traditional Tapas. There is a good choice of bars - Chico’s a traditional Spanish bar with outdoor seating, La Terraza with Edgar who is a lovely host and does great cocktails and Legends a more traditional bar with pool table and sports shown on TV and many more. You will have a fab time if you choose to stay here. Please get in touch if you have any questions. Definitely hire a car - we book through (Website hidden by Airbnb) and choose an on airport company like Goldcar or Record. The road from The airport is really straight forward - follow Algeciras / cadiz and you will pass Marbella and San Pedro then take the turn for Benahavis up to the village. There is ample parking outside the building and round the back of the building. Having a car means you can really explore the wider area and there really is so much to see and do. Public transport isn’t great in the village but there are taxis and Uber operates here. From the apartment up to the village, go round the back and there is a set of stairs that takes you up to a square with restaurants. One road up is the Main Street. You can also take the steep slope up by the Vivihavis apartments - that leads to Abanicos and La Terraza bar. Alternatively, keep walking behind the block and follow the road to the left, past Amanhavis hotel and you will arrive at Indian Spice and the square. All paths lead to the village We think it is best to hire a car a Malaga airport. It is an hour from there along the main road, very easy to get to the village and having a car gives you access to the many beaches of the Costa del sol. The area is also great for hiking and again it is best to drive to the best routes. Comprehensive cleaning completed between stays.
