Olive Cottage is sited on a little peninsula at the end of Elaine Bay Road, with awe-spiring views of Tawhitinui Reach. After a day of fishing, walking, paddle boarding, or relaxing in this tranquil retreat, lounge around the infinity pool. BBQ your catch on the expansive timber deck surrounded by flora and fauna, before enjoying some star gazing without light pollution. We are the third generation to own this property in Elaine Bay. Our grandparents travelled by boat to view the section; as there was no road at the time. Now on the property is two houses; Olive Cottage and the Pool House. We are renting out Olive Cottage, and it is our intention for our guests to have sole use of the property. Olive Cottage is connected to the Pool House and pool by a deck. Olive Cottage, pool, mooring and grounds Available for any questions via phone. Apart from a few permanent residents, the settlement of Elaine Bay consists mainly of holiday homes. The bay hosts fishing and aquaculture port. The main product is the green-lipped mussel. Because Olive Cottage is on a peninsula at the end of the road, you feel completely secluded, with the only traffic passing by the sea. For every night Olive Cottage is booked we will donate $5 to Tennyson Inlet Island Trust. The Trusts goals are to; Restore Tawhitinui, Awaiti and Tarakaipa Islands to predator and pest-free status so the Islands can again become sanctuaries to the native flora and fauna. Please note: Olive Cottage is in a remote location, mobile phone coverage is patchy, there are no supermarkets in the vicinity, and the pool is only solar heated.
