Lovely Highbank River Cottage
Our renovated, charming cottage in our garden has views of pond, perennials and the Cowichan River ravine. Easy walking distance to town, central to everything the Cowichan Valley has to offer. The total area of the cottage is 430 sq ft. It has a very comfortable Queen bed in the separate bedroom with a cozy European down duvet, a dining and sitting area, kitchenette, three-piece bathroom (shower) and a loft - a calm space for reflection with a tree-house ambiance. We know the area well and are available for questions or tips. The Cowichan Valley is a culturally very rich and diverse area. Many festivals dot the months from the Spot-Prawn festival in May, to Wine festivals around harvest time. The First Nations Community offers arts, crafts and events, and don't miss the famous self-guided Totem walk and farmer's market in Duncan. The 'Visions' tour in July opens the studios of artists and artisans. Throughout the year you can enjoy touring and tasting at our many vineyards. Hiking, swimming, kayaking, cycling, whale-watching, live theatre and concerts are some of the other activities you can pursue. Afterwards enjoy a delightful dinner in one of our many excellent restaurants. You can easily walk to town from here. Bus route is also very close by. The kitchenette has an under counter fridge, microwave, a single burner induction cook top, coffee maker, French press, pots and pans, utensils and dishes. We leave coffee, cream and an assortment of teas for your use.
