Luxury villa with pool, garden and amazing views.

Villa Stari Mlin is a 400 year-old traditional Montenegrin farmhouse overlooking the Bay of Kotor, 20 minutes from Tivat airport, superyacht marina Porto Montenegro and UNESCO-listed mediaeval Kotor. The house has been transformed into a luxury villa which combines traditional charm with the comfort and style of an exclusive contemporary home. The house is ideal for families and large groups. The property has panoramic views of the sea and mountains, and is surrounded by lush Mediterranean gardens and terraces, which also contain a stunning 10 metre swimming pool. The vast 40m2 kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances, a large island with stools, and a three-metre long, handmade dining table ideal for long dinners or lazy breakfasts. The 40m2 sitting room is bright and airy, with ample comfortable seating for 14, a high ceiling with open rafters, 40 inch HDTV, music system, wood-burning stove. Each bedroom has been individually decorated with a combination of contemporary and antique furniture to provide a unique atmosphere and a feeling of modern luxury, and has its own ensuite bath or shower-room. The beds are made with the finest Egyptian cotton sheets, thick mattress and have both duck-down and luxury synthetic pillows, in order to ensure that our guests have the best quality relaxation whether asleep or awake. Each bedroom has its own individual entrance from the gardens of the villa, providing added privacy. In each room there are large fitted wardrobes, each with its own electronic safe for storing your valuables and jewellery when you're not wearing it at a nightclub or for a drink at the marina. Every room is also fitted with a movement sensor connected to the house's alarm system in order to allow our guests to relax when they are away from the house. The water pressure is excellent, and the hot water boiler is enormous, making sure that there is always plenty of hot water for a relaxing bath or shower after a day spent by the pool, on the beach or checking out the local sights. Every bathroom is supplied with toilet paper, a soap dispenser and hairdryer, and has double electrical sockets for razors, electric toothbrushes etc. Children are very welcome at Villa Stari Mlin, and we provide 2 wooden cots with full linen, potties, and highchairs. A large stone barbecue and associated utensils is next to the shady pergola in the garden; perfect for pool parties and alfresco dining. The villa also has a huge raised stone sun terrace, and a large 35m2 covered verandah leading out from the sitting-room, complete with table for outdoor dining, and with stupendous 180-degree views of the sea and mountains. There is a large terraced garden with lawns and typical Mediterranean trees and plants. If you're lucky, you'll be here when the pomegranate tree is fruiting. 10 metre by 4 metre outdoor swimming pool with large paved pool area, sun umbrellas, sun loungers, sofa and armchairs. The pool is heated during cooler months when necessary. Other information and amenities: The house is equipped with high-speed wireless internet, and each room additionally has its own socket for wired internet access. There is a landline telephone, however in order to avoid complications with billing, we would be grateful if you would only use it in emergencies. The sitting-room has a beautiful wood-burning stove and a large log-store, allowing guests to relax in the warm glow of a real fire should there be a chilly evening. The sitting-room has a 40 inch flatscreen HDTV There is satellite television with numerous English and European channels. Multi-region DVD player. A collection of more than 100 English-language, Russia and European movies, from classics to blockbusters to art-house. Philips music system with CD player and radio, which is designed to be connected with iPhone, iPad, or other smartphones and tablets, so that you can listen to your music. Backgammon board A large selection of books and novels in English, Russian, French and Italian. The whole house is at your disposal. We are always available via email, online and mobile messaging and phone to answer questions, however during your stay you will be looked after by our wonderful housekeeper Marija and her daughters. There is private parking for two cars, and a third car can be comfortably and safely parked in a layby on the road by the parking area. It is a rare occurrence, however there are occasional power cuts that affect the whole village. Unfortunately there is nothing that we can do about this, and we do not have the possibility to supply a generator. Power cuts are usually short in duration, however when they do happen the water supply to the house does not work, as well as all electrical appliances. We ask you to be patient with this.
