I have lived in a town close by to Stratford for 5 years and was unaware till now what a beautiful place Stratford is to live! If you love walking, the many walks through the trees around town following the Patea river are second to none. We have lived on a life-style block prior to coming to Stratford and my husband could not bear the thought of living in the middle of the town. But when he saw that we have no neighbours he was delighted. We have a park on one boundary, a schools playing fields on two, and a very wide street on the last. Opposite the school is the Catholic Church and so apart from school drop off and pick up we have a peaceful location. The 4 Square and dairy are within 50 metres of our home. Buses leave New Plymouth for Stratford and vise versa 4 times a day on week days. See the Connector timetables on line. The Lodge is a 10 minute walk from the bus stop and even shorter if you take the bridge crossing by the scout den, across the Patea River, come out behind the Swimming Pools and then down Miranda. You need to know that our family live in the property. We access our laundry, garage and chicken rearing facilities through the hallway of the lodge. We try to not impinge when you have asked for privacy.
