Kookaburra Cottage - Newly built two bedroom eco cottage situated on our 13 acres bush property. Relax on the property or use it as a base for bush walking in the nearby Mount Cole State forest or visiting the Pyrenees wineries. Abundant wildlife including wallabies, echidnas and a wide assortment of birdlife. We are 15 km from Beaufort. Winter 2021 update; We now have a cosy wood burning chiminea on the deck; firewood supplied. Two bedrooms both with ensuite. Second bedroom: two single beds zip together to make a King bed option. Relaxed living area including lounge, dining and modern well equipped kitchen. Large window walls fill the rooms with lovely natural light and views of the surrounding bush and of our two cute alpacas grazing nearby. Reverse cycle airconditioning. Kookaburra Cottage is fully self contained in a private valley setting on our property with driveway access and carpark. You are welcome to wander around the property. A collection of éclectique mud brick buildings including pentagonal shaped meditation temple (under repair at present). We are very close to Mount Cole state forest. This provides support for plenty of wildlife including wallabies, echidnas and a wonderful assortment of native birds (various wrens, honey eaters, whistlers, swallows, thornbills, choughs and Kookaburras etc.) Lots of bushwalks to choose from - ranging from the shorter Raglan Falls walk to the 21 km Beeripmo walk. Beaufort is 14 km away with a good selection of shops and services. Closest wineries are Mount Langi Ghiran and Mountainside wines. You will need a car
