En-suite Garden Double, High Shincliffe, Durham

A detached 1960s upside down house in a quiet, pretty close. Surrounded by greenery and trees our house enjoys a mature colourful garden with a sitting courtyard to one side. Bedrooms are bright and spacious and both have a double aspect. A perfect location for walking or cycling with 3 great pubs in walking distance serving superb food. Non-smoking & we have no pets. Just 3 km walk to Durham Cathedral, Castle and University. One of 3 listed: Also a cosy single room, and a twin room. This ensuite room is comfortable, stylishly decorated with relaxing farrow and ball paint for a cosy stay. Bed is now a 4ft 6" standard large double with a sumptuous 10" mattress. The bathroom features a spacious shower unit, underfloor heating, tastefully decorated throughout. Guests access our home through the front porch, then down a short flight of stairs down to this ensuite room which overlooks a mature garden and private courtyard. We give each guest as much support or independance as they require A peaceful, friendly and safe neighbourhood. Walking: 3km to centre of Durham Bus: There are direct bus links into Durham central bus station. Train: Durham train station is a 5 minute walk from the bus station. Driving: 5 minute drive to centre Taxi: Approx £7.50 from centre There is a seperate kitchenette area on the same level as this room with: a bistro table & chairs, fridge/freezer, microwave, small oven, toaster, cafetiere, fresh coffee, tea etc for the sole use of our Airbnb guests at breakfast time. Cereal, bread and milk provided for a light breakfast. There is shared fridge space if guests wish to keep their own simple food items.
