Recently renovated chalet in a lovely hamlet surrounded by forests on the hills unfar of the medieval town of Monschau. Full luxury with 6 sleeping rooms, 6 bathrooms, lounge with stove, fully-equipped kitchen, sauna. Sunny terrace. 200m from the RaVel Biking path giving access to 600 Km network. Pets allowed if they sleep in the lounge and not in sleeping rooms. A loghouse built by a couple who wanted a quiet stay for their retirement. It has been entirely renovated to high comfort standards. You immediately feel well in the warm wooden atmosphere. You have to bring your own wood for the stove and the Bedlinnen to cover the duvets ( 2M width) and the pillows. Mattresses have fresh covers when you arrive. Sunny terrace when the weather permits it with electric BBQ ( no fire permitted outside). Walking distance to Rurbusch and Hohe Mark forest districts. Small market and baker in Kalterherberg ( 1Km). Belgian beers in a small pub in Küchelscheid. There are a washing machine and a dryer. From the entrance at the ground level of this three-storey chalet, you access to the lounge & linked kitchen using a stoney staircase. 1 sleeping room is at ground level, 3 at lounge-kitchen level and 2 in the attic over a wooden stair. You access the terraces either from the lounge or from 2 sleeping rooms at some level. All 6 sleeping rooms with en-suite either bath or shower both with private toilet. Huge under-roof ceiling lounge openly connected with your fully equipped kitchen (2 dishwashing machines). In the restroom near the designer sauna (architect Sabine Töller) you will relax in comfortable easy chairs. You have access to both terraces from the lounge. Nice sunbathing terrace with electric Weber bbq. Wifi free. We will welcome you and give some details about the house. We live at 12 km distance and are available on the phone in case of need. There is a handbook in english. You are in the middle of the natural park Hautes fagnes-Eifel. You walk 10' to the surrounding forests. Busses to Aachen (D) and Verviers- Malmedy-St Vith. Your pets can stay outside in the garden where they are sheltered by a fence. There are 2 Kneipen ( german word for bar) in Leykaul where you can enjoy belgian beers and non-alcoholic drinks. In Kalterherberg, just over the german border, you will find a grocery shop, a basket, 3 restaurants ( one offers fresh trouts from their own farm) and one bar.
