Lovely stone apartment in the heart of Gytheio

Koumaros is the name given to the house where you will be staying. It is also the name of the hill on which it is backed. The house dating from the early 1900s and entirely renewed, is located in the heart of Gythio, overlooking the Cultural Center square. After 80 steps you will be raised above the roofs of the houses and will contemplate the sea. Ideally located, Koumaros is close to all shops, cafes, restaurants, banks and bus stop. The apartment where you will stay is on the ground floor. The 30m2 apartment consists of an independent bedroom, a living room with sitting area and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen, open to the living room, and offering sea views. The room allows the sleeping of 2 people in single bed. A sofa bed in the living room can accommodate 2 other people. All the litteries, furniture and home appliances are new. The bathroom is equipped with an Italian shower. From the terrace you will overlook the village and have a view of the sea. It is an ideal location in the heart of Gytheio, 2 minutes walk from all the shops. It is in 2011 that the project to buy a ruin in Gytheio passed us by the head. Four years of work were needed to restore this old house from the beginning of the 20th century. Each stone has been cleaned individually, and apart from the lintels and some corner stones, all the walls have been redone with the stones found in the ruin. A real job of ants! Gytheio is a village classified, the house has been renovated respecting strictly its original style. Today, Koumaros is an entirely stone house, completely renovated. Gythio is an ideal base to stay and relax, to explore the unique beauty of its surroundings, the historical sites and the most beautiful beaches of the Peloponesse.
