Close to Penrith & the Blue Mountains!

Welcome to Horseshoe Hideaway with everything you need for your stay. 20 mins drive from Penrith, 30 mins to Katoomba and 5-10mins to lots of fantastic coffee shops. Located in Sun Valley, one of the few places in the Mountains with horses, there are walking/riding/mountain bike trails, with amazing wildlife! It has its own private access, off and on-road parking, a courtyard with sunshade and BBQ, a kitchenette with all you need to cook up a feast! The Hideaway has been freshly done up and has all new appliances including a rotisserie oven and hobs, a slow cooker, a rice cooker, an electric frypan and a blender. Our property, like all in Sun Valley, is set on 5 bush acres. We are a very sociable family and have many friends in the area who pop over regularly (often on ponies!). So although the area is whisper-quiet, we aren't! We have a dog and chickens who can make noise too. Our pony pops in to graze at the back of the property sometimes. The Hideaway is at the front of the property and although connected to the main house has its own entry. There is a door that connects the two living spaces. It remains locked from both sides at all times. There is no actual view from the room itself, but there is a stunning view from the pool. Own access and you will have full Hideaway, including a bathroom with a shower and toilet. Your own courtyard and BBQ, off and on-road parking space. You can have private access to our washing machine and laundry if needed. In summer you are welcome to share our pool by prior arrangement. We are on a septic system. I will be available most of the time during your stay, as we live on the property and I am happy to have as much or little interaction as the guests would like. Also happy to answer any questions about the area. Sun Valley is very unique! It has only two roads and is a very quiet neighbourhood so not many tourists here! Most of the properties have horses or animals. There is a pony club and off lead dog walking area in the centre. The Pony Club is held on the first Sunday of the month (unless raining) we are a small group, but friendly and love visitors. We have children's pony rides at lunchtime and a small canteen. Rosenthal lane is the main bush/riding trail that branches off into different trails and a lookout. Perfect also for mountain bike riding. The only shop is a Produce Centre which also sells lots of different breeds of chickens. We also have a couple of local peacocks which visit many of the houses in Sun Valley. We are only 20 minutes drive away from Penrith, 30 minutes away from Katoomba, the Three Sisters, Wentworth Falls, 10 mins from Springwood, Blaxland and Glenbrook (National Park and Jelly Bean Rock Pools) which all have lovely shops, cafes, bushwalks and lookouts. We are a 5-minute drive to the nearest train station Warrimoo which takes you all the way into Central in the City, all the way out to Bathhurst up the mountain and everywhere in-between. We have 2 teenagers and 2 children who we Home school, so often have children at our place playing and swimming. Only paying guests can use the pool. We also have a pony, rabbits, guinea pigs and a friendly dog. None of these pets come to the Hideaway, they are at the main house.
