the Studio.........a room with a view

Self contained unit attached to main house with own entry and private garden. Queen size bed in main room with small room adjoining that has single bed and tea and coffee making facilities,fridge,microwave,toaster. En-suite with toilet, shower and wash basin, adjoins little room. Original art works by Caroline Colman and Mac Betts. Sculpture collection in garden. Sit outside and enjoy the views of the hills and our beautiful WA birds (magpies, galahs,parrots,wattlebirds,wrens, honey eaters etc) Avon River close by and its only a 10 minute brisk walk over the bridge to Toodyay where great coffee and breakfasts can be enjoyed. Also evening meals available from both pubs and Bar &Grill (curry house). Great walk trails and historical buildings and specialty shops down the Main Street. Pet friendly. One single bed in small room (no pullout mattress) Studio sign is on Harcourt street, drive up off the kerb and park in front of the double black gates which is your entrance. The front garden is fenced in with two side gates leading to Caroline’s garden. Your host lives upstairs in main house and will not disturb your stay but happy to be of help. I have a friendly Ridgeback dog, Hugo, who cannot access your space but might bark when you first arrive! Two Peking ducks free range but if you would like to bring your pet, check with Caroline first. Favourite coffee shop is the wonderful bakery where you can sit upstairs on verandah or outside shop front or in cosy nooks inside. But, you can gets eggs Benedict across the way at The Bar & Grill or a lovely Goat Curry in the evenings. Train service from Perth but you need to book. There is ducted evaporative air con and ceiling fan in main room. No aircon or fan in small room. Radiators in both rooms. Electric blanket on queen bed.
