Situated in the heart of Downtown Laurel, MS, on Central Ave. our 2 bed, one bunk suite offers up to 1000 square feet of spacious living. It is old and historic, has a cozy atmosphere with squeaky wood floors and original beaded 16' ceilings. The suite is located above the well known Sweet Somethings Bakery and within the homes and promotion area of the new HGTV promotion with Ben and Erin Napier, HOMETOWN. You are within walking distance of fabulous dining and personal shopping and the Amtrack is only 3 blocks away. Perfect for in between stops. Original design of the building was 1923 store. It has went through many years of facelifts and changes and we have attempted to bring back the old style for your enjoyment. From the 16' tongue and groove ceilings to the 1/4 rough sawn pine and oak, I know you will enjoy the space and atmosphere. All guest must park behind bakery in parking lot. Access to the bnb is through glass door and up the stairs after business hours. During the hours of 8am to 5:30pm guests may use front stairs to access bakery directly or pass through to the outside. Our neighborhood is a growing area of private entrepreneurship interested in helping each business be successful. Please enjoy or small town living and relax. Bakery hours 9:00 am-5:00 pm, Tuesday-Friday and 9:00 am-4:00 pm Saturday. Everything is within short walking distance, but we have Amtrak, Uber, Taxi service, car rental services and bikes. There is not a stove to cook with but unit has microwave. BNB licensing in our city doesnt allow guests to have ability to cook.
