Spacious, comfortable 3 bed house on Malvern Hills
Situated in Malvern Wells & nestled in the tranquil Malvern Hills, this charming cottage with it's stunning views is a short drive from the 3 Counties Showground making it a perfect base for exhibitors and show-goers alike as well as for walkers. Dogs are allowed. With 3 bedrooms, it is ideally suited to half term breaks or exeat weekends. There is a wall anchor to secure the road or mountain bikes when not in use so we are perfectly situated to explore the Hills & the surrounding area. 3 HOLYWELL MEWS The property, which dates back to the 1820's, is located in the middle of a row of four mews cottages, on the Eastern slopes of the Malvern Hills. This comfortable cottage is light, airy and surprisingly spacious. Its secluded location offers excellent access to the Malvern Hills, together with peace and quiet to relax after a day's activities. GROUND FLOOR - ENTRANCE HALL The welcoming entrance hall contains a small area at the foot of the stairs with coat hooks and mat intended as a convenient location for walking boots etc. The NEST central heating controller can also be found in the entrance hall. KITCHEN The fully fitted kitchen is accessed directly from the entrance hall. It contains, fridge freezer, large range cooker with gas hob and double oven, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster, microwave and DAB radio. The kitchen is equipped with pots, pans, utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery - as well as a few staple food and cleaning items to make your stay more comfortable. An iron, ironing board and cleaning equipment can all be found (if needed) in the under-stairs cupboard. There are also 6 settings of child-safe cutlery and crockery for very young children. LIVING / DINING The main living space is accessed via doors from both the entrance hall and kitchen. Conveniently located closer to the kitchen, the dining table seats six people. The lounge is located at the other end of the room, where the large bay window offers views to the front of the cottage; this area contains two comfortable sofas, an armchair, a smart TV and occasional tables. UPPER FLOOR - LANDING The landing has a night light in the socket between the bathroom and bedroom 1. BATHROOM The bathroom contains a bath with integral shower and glass shower screen, WC, single wash-hand basin, heated towel rail, mirror and shaver socket. The switch for the heated towel rail is just outside the bathroom door. BEDROOM ONE The spacious master bedroom boasts a large bay window, offering a beautiful view across the valley below. The room is furnished with a comfortable oak king size bed with new mattress, bedside tables, chest of drawers and a large, wall-mounted mirror. A new Tresemme hairdryer can be found in the chest of drawers in this bedroom. BEDROOM TWO The second bedroom comfortably sleeps two people in a pair of single beds, each with new mattresses. A bedside table and chest of drawers with table top mirror are provided in this room. A second Tresemme hairdryer can be found in the chest of drawers in this bedroom. An external doorway provides access to a small, private deck area at the rear of the cottage which is where the wall anchor is found to secure bikes. BEDROOM THREE This cosy bedroom sleeps two in a comfortable bunk bed with new mattresses. This room is also equipped with a chest of drawers and mirror. The entire house is at guests disposal, as is the 1st floor deck at the back which is accessed through bedroom 2. We will endeavour to meet you shortly after your arrival to introduce ourselves and to make sure you have everything you need. We can usually be around within 30 minutes if there is a need or any issues during your stay. Otherwise, we leave you to enjoy your stay without disturbing you. The beautiful Malvern Hills are a very popular walking and mountain biking destination with over half a million people visiting every year. With 3,000 acres to explore and views to Wales and 7 English counties, there is never a dull moment while savouring the clean, fresh country air. Walk out of the front door and up the drive and you are already on the Hills with options to head either North towards the Beacon and Great Malvern with its shops, cafes and restaurants plus of course its splendid Priory: or you can head South towards British Camp and its reservoir, further on towards Eastnor obelisk and the grounds of Eastnor Castle. With one covered parking space at the side and room for another car in front of the property, parking is plentiful, free and convenient. INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE Full 35+ Mbs internet access. Welcome pack including tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, jam, fruit and biscuits - as well as a small supply of dishwasher tablets and laundry powder. Freshly laundered linen and towels are provided for all guests at the beginning of your stay. ADDITIONAL LINEN / CLEANING We offer a bed linen and towel change after 2 weeks - this costs £30 for all the bedding & towels and proportionately less for only some of them. Guests can also choose to have a change after 1 week during a fortnight stay, for the same charges. If guests wish to have the house cleaned during a stay, it costs £20. Guests can opt to clean the house themselves during longer stays.
