This beautiful private room with views of the surrounding forests is situated in the scenic valley of the river Gauja, just next to the legendary hill “Dainu” and the castle of Turaida. Peace, colour harmony of the nature and the breath of the ancient presence is what makes this place so special. Nearby scenic nature sights – “Gutmana” cave, Turaida village, hill “Dainu” and the river Gauja – provides the inspiration for the long walks and philosophical conversations. This private room is a part of a recently renovated villa, located in the beautiful Gauja National Park. With zen atmosphere and contemporary interior, the villa has three levels with a total size of 317 m2. There are 7 ensuite bedrooms, a seating area, fully fitted kitchen and a large garden with outdoor seating, fire pit and summer canopy. This private villa is a real haven of peace where a relaxed rhythm of life is privileged! This room is located on the third floor and comfortably accommodates 2 people in a double sized bed. Room comes with an en suite bathroom with shower, balcony, small kitchenette, TV, Wifi and air conditioning. In common spaces of the villa you can freely use living/dinning room, fully fitted kitchen, guest toilet, parking and garden with fire pit and summer canopy. Sauna with lounge, fireplace and terrace is on the site and also available for additional price. We can accommodate up to 14 adults and 3 babies in cribs. If your party consist of more than 2 people, extra people will be accommodated in our other rooms upon availability or upon previous agreement. The Villa “Bēršas" is located in the valley of river Gauja on a small hilltop surrounded by forests and meadows, with panoramic views of the Turaida castle. Its romantic design guarantees for a comfortable and sophisticated stay. The neighbourhood is quiet, safe and distinguished. You have a golf course short drive away and restaurants within a 10 minute drive. The property is a 5 minute drive from city Sigulda and 1,5h from the Riga airport. Guests can freely access the common spaces of the villa and surrounding area. There may be other guests living in separate rooms and using common spaces. The 2 main bedrooms have king size bed, an en-suite bathroom with shower and bath and stunning forest views. All other 5 bedrooms have a double size bed and en-suite bathroom with shover or bath. All bedrooms have a balcony, small kitchenette (except the ground floor bedroom), TV (except the white king bedroom that has movie projector), Wifi, air conditioning and are supplied with high quality mattress, towels, slippers and bed linen. The living/dining room has a TV with satellite (channels of all over Europe), DVD, a selection of movies, 2 couches, a table and chairs seating up to 20 guests and fine utensils are at your disposal to set the table. The kitchen comes fully equipped with fine cutlery, plates, glass ware, crockery, pots, pans and other essential cooking and dining utensils. You also have a microwave, toaster, oven, induction hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, making self-catering a breeze. Once you book villa “Bēršas” we will provide you with the information you need to take the most of your stay. A weekly cleaning fee is included and extra services, such as breakfast and meals can be arranged. Hosts live in a separate house on the site next to the villa so you will be welcomed and introduced to the villa by them or their assistant Ilze. She will be available on Airbnb App answering messages or phone calls from 8am to 9pm everyday. One of us will be waiting for you in front of the building at a previously arranged time to hand you the keys and explain details of the accommodation. Take a 15 minute walk along the river banks to the biggest cave of the Baltics - cave Gutmanis or conquer 120 steps to the beautiful Turaida castle and Dainu hill. Only less than 5km away from the villa is the only golf course around Sigulda and Gauja National Park territory. Eight hectares established 9-hole golf course “Reinis” could appeal to gamers with beautiful panoramic views of Sigulda and Krimulda hills and slopes, the existing terrain variations and cascades of the ponds. Reinis Golf Course has a fine dining restaurant with views of the hill and forests. For the wine lovers there are opportunities to taste the domestic vine from various berries located just 10 minute drive away at the Krimuldas manor. In a 5 minute drive guests can reach the city of Sigulda with supermarkets, pharmacies, cafés, fine restaurants, hairdressers, shops and a train station. The city provides a great deal of fascination, thanks to its landmarks, its opportunities for indulging in outdoor recreation, and the culture and wild nature that takes one’s breath away and shows one the true beauty of Latvia. During the winter season the ski slopes and bobsleigh track host international competitions and events and are highly demanded. In summer the options are boating down the River Gauja, using the various cycling routes, negotiating obstacle routes in the treetops at adventure parks, and visiting the Aerodium vertical wind tunnel in which you can fly, literally. Cultural enthusiasts will enjoy the international Sigulda Opera Music Festival that stages world famous operatic performances on an open air stage in the castle and is held at the end of July. Once you book villa “Bēršas” we will provide you with the information you need to take the most of your stay. Getting to the property from Sigulda city should take around a 5 minute drive should you hire a car or take a taxi. Taxi’s run regularly and you will find a rank exiting the train or bus station. The taxi should cost in the region of 10 to 15 euros. The property itself has private parking and hiring a car is advised for a more adventurous and comfortable stay given its location. From the Riga airport to the Riga city centre take the bus number 22. You will get out straight at the terminal on the 2nd level. To get on the bus at the airport look for bus stop located opposite the terminal behind the car park P1. For a fast and convenient trip from the airport to the Riga city centre choose minibus No. 222 with the route Riga Central Station – Airport which offers a higher comfort passenger transportation in Riga and will take you to the Central station. Going from the airport to the centre, the minibus departs from P1 Parking. The taxi from airport to Central station should cost in the region of 10 to 15 euros. Further take the train or bus “Riga - Sigulda” from the train station or bus station that are located near each other. We can accommodate up to 14 adults and 3 babies in cribs.
