Halliday’s Cottage, Cosy Rutland Retreat

Halliday’s Cottage is a studio cottage set within a shared driveway with parking space for one vehicle and a little area outside with seating for al fresco dining. A perfect retreat for two! There is a lounge area, fully equipped kitchen area, a spacious shower room and a sleeping area in a private alcove with comfy double bed, the sofa in the lounge converts into a small sofa bed. WiFi internet access is available throughout. Greetham is a working village in the beautiful county of Rutland very close to Rutland Water with plenty of country walks from the Cottage. Convenient for Stamford (15 mins) and Oakham (10 mins). There are two pubs in the village - The Wheatsheaf (Top 50 Gastropubs UK) and The Plough both serving excellent food (booking is recommended) and both just a few minutes walk from the Cottage. Rutland Water offers sailing, fishing, walks and cycle hire. Stretton Lakes are very close by for fishing. Greetham Valley Golf Course, driving range and Archery is 3 mins by car. The beautiful Belvoir Castle is only half an hour away. The market town of Stamford is well worth a visit, as is Burghley House. Your hosts Jo and Carl live on site and will meet you on arrival. Halliday’s Cottage is situated alongside Halliday’s Folly within a gated shared driveway. We like to meet guests at check in and then give our guests privacy to enjoy their break. We live on site so are usually available anytime, if needed. Parking space for one vehicle within a gated shared driveway. We welcome pets by prior arrangement only, please be aware that there is no grassed area or secure garden however there are plenty of country walks on the doorstep and dogs must be toileted offsite. The Cottage can be booked alongside Halliday’s Folly for a maximum of 8 guests.
