The campus offers access to several food outlets, two bars, a pharmacy, a post office and a large sports facility with a swimming pool. Bus stops in both directions are within about 100 metres. Several buses run through the area, including: Route 11 - from Newcastle City to Westfield Charlestown Route 24 - from Carrington and Newcastle West to Wallsend Bus routes run via Jesmond Shopping Centre, a 15 minute walk to the West. UON Students/staff can catch the University's free shuttle to NewSpace in City Campus, the nearest stop is a 5 minute walk away. Driving access to this end of University Drive is through Sunset Boulevard, via Canara Place. Basic continental breakfast goods are supplied within the price of the room.
