Central Comfortable Charlestown Family Home

The home is a comfortable standard 3 bedroom family home. It's on the second floor of our home. You have complete privacy as it has its own external entrance. It's convenient to John Hunter and Mater Hospitals, Charlestown Square, Kotara & Warners Bay. We are also close to a range of restaurants, shops, movie's and supermarkets. Newcastle city is just a 20 minute drive away. Its perfect for those working in the area, family visits or hospital appointments. On-street parking only. This spacious 3 bedroom home has a comfy lounge/family room, bathroom, separate toilet, kitchen, laundry and washing line. There are sitting areas for those that prefer a more quiet spot to work or read, as well as shared family spaces. You will have a beautiful private deck to sit and enjoy a morning cuppa or a glass of wine in the evening, enjoy the view and native birds. Privacy is important for some, so be assured you have your own entrance where you can come and go without having to interact with us. For those that like a bit more contact, we are working during the day and some weekends but we are always contactable via text to help. We live on the bottom level and you will hear us but we are just two quiet people with three little quiet dogs. There is a locked door at the bottom of the stairs. We have hosted hospital guests that have told us the home is a quiet place to recoup and perfect for family members to visit. We would love to host kids but we have concerns about hosting children under the age of 12, because there are internal stairs (locked door at the bottom) and an external deck. Although the deck railing is higher than building code, we are still concerned that children might hurt themselves. If your baby is not mobile yet then the home might suit your needs. You have your own walkway and external access with a key lock arrangement. Parking is on the street only but its not generally a problem, there is plenty of space. We have a separate entrance into the bottom part of the house. We are always available to help if needed but we respect your right to privacy. Your accommodation and entrance is completely separate from ours. We are happy to help with planning things of interest or transport options. The home is perfect for a those that require easy access to shops, supermarkets, movies and restaurants. Our guests tell us that they love the proximity to Charlestown and Kotara shopping centres as well as just being a short drive (5 mins) to beautiful Warners Bay for that early morning stroll, coffee and breakfast. The home is located about 6.5 kms from John Hunter Hospital for those that need to visit. A bus stop to the hospital is just a five minute walk away. The home is close to all major bus routes within the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie region. The home is centrally located in Charlestown. You can walk to the shopping centre in 15 minutes. Charlestown is a central hub for buses that go in all directions. The closest bus stop is a 5 minute walk where most buses pick up. John Hunter Hospital is a 5 minute drive. Mater Hospital is about a 15 minute drive. There are regular buses going to John Hunter Hospital, Mater Hospital, Newcastle University and TAFE. Guests tell us they love the home because it is central to most things in Lake Macquarie and Newcastle. We have three little dogs (two are rescue dogs). They are very quiet little dogs that stay outside all day and won't impact on your stay.
