The Stable is compact and bijoux. It is furnished to a high standard New England style. Full electric central heating in every room and a small log burning stove. The small living room/kitchen area has a fully fitted kitchen with fridge, cooker and microwave. There is a leather sofa and a wooden rocking chair to relax and watch colour TV. The bedroom has an original iron victorian bed with a new memory foam mattress. Wardrobe and drawers for storage. Fitted shower room with electric shower All amenities included. Towels and bed linen are all included in the price. Free wifi and logs for the fire. Parking is behind secure electric gates. Guests privacy is very important to us. However as experienced travellers ourselves we are always happy for guests to join us for a glass of wine if the weather permits and we are in the garden. Living right next door we have a good knowledge of our area and although The Stable Is equipped with tourist information we often advise on whats happening and where. All amenities included. There is a washing line outside the Stable for the use of guests but in the event of bad weather guests can also use the tumble drier. The Barn is situated between the historic town of Stourbridge and the pretty village of Kinver in South Staffordshire. It is ideally situated for exploring the counties of Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire. Stourbridge, famous for its glass making industry in the past has a variety of good pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The train station in Stourbridge connects us to Birmingham in 30 minutes and London in 90 minutes. Close to Bridgnorth too, of which King Charles 1st said " The finest view in all my Kingdom", a town which we regularly visit on Saturdays for the market. Similar distance to Bewdley, another riverside town which also has a good choice of Bars, Restaurants and quirky shops. The middle of England is filled with interesting places which constantly delight our visitors and add to our visitors book of what interests them. Harvington Hall with its secret priest holes and rich history (20 minutes away) Wightwick Manor and gardens a victorian home with a Pre-Raphaelite art collection (26 minutes) and Kinver Rock Houses (8 minutes). The Severn valley railway , the West Midlands Safari Park, Cadbury World and The Black Country Museum are all other places that our visitors love, with children or without. As the gates lead onto the bridle path,which began as a Roman track, the canal is just one minute away with beautiful walks or a cycle ride which shows natures splendor whatever the season, with fishing pools at Bells Mill fishery a 5 minute walk along the towpath. This Historic region of England has something whatever the season and whatever the weather Bus stops just 2 minutes away for buses into Stourbridge. Stourbridge runs trains daily directly to London and the line from the town runs from Hereford to Stratford upon Avon. The M5 motorway is around 10 minutes from here and from there the M42 which leads directly to Birmingham International Airport.
