Warley Cottages - Beech Cottage

Beech Cottage is one of three self contained cottages we offer. We back onto the the Bunyip State Park on over forty acres and located just over 3km from the lovely town of Gembrook home of Puffing Billy and the fabulous Independent restaurant. Wildlife, bushland, walking tracks galore, our cottage makes for a lovely getaway.. You’ll love our place because of the ambiance, the outdoors space and the amazing natural setting.. We think our cottages are best suited for couples and solo adventurers. 40 acres, half cleared block backing onto the Bunyip State Park. We often see wallabies, wombats, echidnas and lyrebirds roaming around. If you are lucky we sometimes get goannas as well if the weather is warm enough. Bird enthusiasts will be pleased as well, many water birds around the dam along with cockatoos, galahs, kookaburras and parrots often spotted. You will have full use of your own self contained cottage. This includes the kitchen, dining area, double bedroom with ensuite and seperate laundry. Myself or my grandmother will be on site to lend a hand if you have any queries. There is a bus from the town of Gembrook to Belgrave Train Station which typically runs 7 days a week, check out PTV website online for latest timetable. We live in a remote location, albeit only 1hr 15min from Melbourne. There is no mobile phone reception, if you drive back into town around 1.5km away you should be able to get 3G reception. Our driveway is a made road, some guests get dropped off my minibus after weddings at local venues but this is at the top of the drive as busses are not capable of turning or getting back up the steep driveway. We always suggest a taxi, that way you can get dropped at the door and not need to walk 7min down the drive.
