Eastwood is 1 km from the city and has the space and grace to match its charm, history and local ammenities. Much of the housing dates back to 1890 and features local bluestone, little corner shops and a passing parade of visitors to the area. It’s easy to get a park, it’s quiet and there’s a park across the road to play and enjoy a barbecue amongst the towering gums and birds! One Fine Stay has hosted screen stars, pop icons and dignitaries. Like them, you won’t be disappointed ! CARONA CARE As always, we are vigilant in our cleaning and hygiene. However, in these times it's important to promote our health and hygiene procedures. We adhere to the strict Airbnb recommended cleaning regime for a COVIDSafe environment . To this point, we thoroughly wipe down all surfaces, handles and wash all fabrics where possible . Be assured of super clean fluffy towels, crisp line dried sheets (exposed to the suns sanitising UV rays). We also use hot washes because the virus doesn't like heat either. After all guests departure , the house is well ventilated, with windows and doors open , blinds up and as much cleansing fresh air and UV rays as possible . We have spray bottles with a simple water and detergent mix for you to wipe surfaces as required and plenty of good quality soap for your hands . We try to minimise any affects of the Virus and welcome your feedback and any requests for your arrival . THE HOUSE A classic 1890's cottage located within 1 km to the City. Shops, restaurants and banks are within walking distance. The Stables is located in the leafy eastern suburbs of Adelaide and is only 1 km from the City. Walk into the City via a beautiful walk way lined with 150 year old gum trees, colonial olive orchards and some of the most lovely scenery in Adelaide. The Adelaide Botanic Gardens, Rundle Street and the North Terrace Cultural Precinct is a comfortable 30 minute walk. The Stables is fully equipped with kitchen and laundry facilities, and provides a stylish and relaxed environment. The beds (two queen sized) are comfortable and the property is fully airconditioned/ heated. The place has some beautiful classic and original like the ornate ceilings. The property also has a small courtyard to view the plentiful supply of birds that visit from the adjacent Parklands and a barbeque for relaxed meals. In most cases I will meet you upon arrival, alternatively I will leave a key out in a security box for your collection. I try to meet guests upon arrival and contact by either text or telephone to ensure all is going well. During summer I like to keep the plants watered (if guests are not keen gardeners) however always at a time that is convenient to my guests. The Stables are ideally located to take advantage of the Clipsal 500, Tour DownUnder, Fringe Garden and the Horse Trials. All of these events are an easy walk. We are located about 5 minutes walk bus stop #1. The buses run every 25 minutes during the day. A bicycle hire depot is located on Hutt Street, about 15 minutes walk from The Guesthouse. A residential parking permit is provided for a car space, located out front of The Stables. The Stables is ideally located to take advantage of Adelaide's Tour DownUnder, Fringe Garden and the Horse Trials. All of these events are an easy walk. We hope to welcome you soon. I try to meet every guest however may leave a key out with prior arrangements. Occasionally I will have to Water the plants and take the bins out weekly. Both require access to the rear courtyard. I will always liaise with the guest to ensure appropriate times to access. The Stables is located in an historic conservation zone adjacent the city's parklands. Great shops and local restaurants are a short walk away, and the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and the North Terrace Cultural Precinct are within 30 minutes on foot. We are at bus stop #1 from the City . Unless you have a concession however , it's probably cheaper to use an Uber with two (2) or more people traveling because we are so close to the city boundary. PLEASE NOTE: The rate for two people pertains to a couple sharing the one room. If the second room is required to be available, there is an additional fee of $65 per week. This is to reduce costs for people only requiring the one room and reduce cleaning and laundering time plus heating/ cooling costs for us. The second bedroom will be locked if not required. If you would just like the extra space for your cot etc - the rate is still $65 per week.
