A very spacious private room with private entrance and balcony and a scenic view of coffee plantation. A natural stream nearby and a good park for kids and elders. The room is attached with a clean and big western style toilet with running hot and cold water round the clock. The room have a super king size cot and bed with cozy linen, LED television with satellite channels. Moreover we are ideally located in Kalpetta, very close to the town; Yet, in a serene and cool setting My place is a vacation home in Kalpetta, very close to the city yet away from the dust and din of the city. Jump from hustle and bustle polluted life to a pure nature friendly world surrounded by bamboo, natural stream and beautiful coffee plantations. The natural stream is clean and a dip in the stream will refresh and energise you. We have a big kids park adjacent to our property. We are located very near to kalpetta town; just 5 minutes ride from the Kalpetta bus station Bedroom, shower, toilet, all the common areas, walkways, and the corridors. Kids are free to use the kids play area as well. I am living nearby and wish to interact with guests without causing a trouble to their privacy. There will be a caretaker here round the clock, who will be happy to help you. Assistance would be provided for trekking through the tranquil surroundings and also for visiting various tourist locations in Wayanad Wayanad is known as a virgin paradise where the cotton clouds fondle the green, lush mountains spreading chill around its romantic sceneries. Kalpetta is home to the tallest peak, in the Wayanad district, Chembra Peak at 2100 meters above sea level. The trek up Chembra Peak frequented by many . It is best if guests have their own vehicles. Alternatively, taxis maybe arranged and there are plenty of buses and auto-rickshaws as well, to get around Wayanad. Public transport available round the clock. We can provide cabs and coaches as per your requirement. Parking available in the property itself. From Calicut International Airport: By Taxi: We can arrange a pick up at a nominal charge. No regular public transport is available from the airport. From Calicut Railway Station: By Taxi: We can arrange a pick up at a nominal charge. By public transport: Take a prepaid auto and get to the KSRTC bus station on Mavoor Road. Board a bus going to Kalpetta and get down at Kalpetta. It will cost around Rs. 70 and take approximately 02:00 hours. We can arrange a pick up from Kalpetta. Always carry a valid identity proof with you. Smoking in public places in Kerala is a punishable offence. Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas. Use of contraband drugs is against the law and is not permitted on our property. You are permitted to carry alcohol or alcoholic beverages not above the quantity stipulated by law. Please do inform us if you are in procession of alcohol or alcoholic beverages during check in. Please ensure that you have the purchase bills in your custody for alcohol or alcoholic beverages you carry during your stay with us. Climate The rainy seasons are the best time to visit Wayanad if you want to see the forests, hills and vegetation at their best. Imagine yourself warming up with a hot cup of brew, looking out at the rains and accompanying mists!! Alternatively the summer months of March-May are better suited for outdoor activities and wildlife safaris. Animal sightings tend to be better in summer owing to many animals migrating to the forests of Wayanad from other reserves, in search of better water resources and prey. Fauna and Flora Wayanad forests are rich in plant and animal diversity, and play a crucial role in the conservation of several rare species some of which include but not limited to the Lion tailed Macaque, the Royal Bengal Tiger and Elephants. People even though Wayanad is the least populated district in Kerala, it has the highest tribal population. Some of the tribes still speak their own languages. The tribes are experts at extracting valuable forest resources, and their weapons, art forms and handicrafts are major attractions for tourists. Their ethnic food recipes, like dishes made from forest leaves, bamboo and paddy crabs, are some of the specialties here.
