Modern w/ historic charm. 2nd level unit. Panoramic river/marina/bridge view off rear deck, with outdoor seating & table. Queen bed in a sleeping area separated from the living/dining/kitchen area. Full stainless kitchen, granite counter, hardwood floors, carpet in bedroom area. Shower with a bench seat. Guests repeatedly remark about how nice our facilities are. Even the Studio unit, though small relative to the other units in the building, has top quality finishes and offers the same unobstructed view of the Mississippi River front as all of the other units. The large full-glass double patio doors bring the river environment right into your apartment! The view from the deck includes approx 160 degrees of unobstructed view of the Lock & Dam #26, Clark Bridge, Alton Marina, Alton Riverfront Amphitheater and a wide swath of the MS River. And on a clear day, the St. Louis Gateway Arch is even visible on the distant horizon. A common inside stairway and corridor leads to entrances of all four on-site apartments - 3 on the second level and one on the third level of the building. Stairways are wide and easily navigable with bags. Once inside your unit, you have your own access directly onto the south facing (river facing) solid concrete deck with patio chairs and a table to enjoy the ambience of the flowing river and boat traffic on the Mighty Mississippi. We are happy to answer questions about the area and things to do during your visit. The Alton Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is also a great resource - via phone, their website, or a 3-block walk down Broadway. Host will be usually be available via mobile phone (and lives only 10 minutes away) to answer questions about the area and/or otherwise assist with check-in and other needs. We used to typically be around the facility more often, and usually tried to meet most of our first time guests. Since the COVID situation, we have been less engaging person to person, but are still available anytime for a phone call or text message. Located in a historic district of a beautiful Mississippi River town. Fine dining right across the street; local microbrewery 2 blocks; coffee/bakery shop 2 blocks; half a dozen additional dining and live entertainment venues within a 2-5 block walk. Easy walk to Riverfront Park and Amphitheater and Argosy Alton Belle Casino. Parking is readily available on the street in front of and on the side of the building, and in a public parking lot across the street. Walking distance to numerous restaurants and entertainment venues. Street parking, but we're right on a corner with plenty of spots available in front and on the side of the building.
