Sea Oak Retreat

This place is located at the very edge of a popular caravan site run by Parkdean Resorts. The furnishings inside are new and the view into main windows private, facing the woodland and sea. The living spaces are well equipped for a comfortable stay and light travelling. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The main living space is open plan making socialising easy and all to a backdrop of a woodland scene with the Solent in the distance. The red squirrels frequently visit and can be observed from inside or whilst picnicking outside. The main bedroom is spacious and with ensuite. Along with the second twin bedroom and main bathroom, the main bedroom can all be shut off from the social space. There is also a fold out bed under the seating area. When checking in you will be met and handed the key for the length of your stay. During your stay please communicate as much or little as you like, we are only a short drive away should you need anything. After a brief meet and greet with key handover, enjoy your stay with as much or little interaction as you wish. On a walk along the coastal paths to Gurnard yesterday, the sun was out and we counted over one hundred butterflies, whilst watching seabirds and a colony of sand tunneling wasps. The red squirrels come right up to the caravan, climb the trees that surround it and the atmosphere is peaceful. We would like guests, coming from busy urban lives, to relax into these suroundings, and allow themselves to settle into the rhythm of the Island in this more remote stay amongst the oaks. Access to the resort facilities and entertainment requires a pass. This can be organised before your arrival and costs £50 (family of four) for the length of your entire stay. There isn't a TV, so bring your own devices and reliable access to internet (mobile device provided is temperamental, we are working on it!). There are plenty of board games, books and DVDs, as well as nature guides for you to use with access to SSSI grasslands, coastal shore, marsh and woodland; but please adhere to the countryside code and stuck to paths.
