My Island Home - The Gallery is one of two independent lodgings which compose My Island Home, the other being The Studio. Situated on a secure and well-planted property and sharing a 50 sq. meter terrace these two homes each offer you everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay on Huahine. The entrance to The Gallery is from the shared terrace. The large family room consists of living, cooking and eating areas. Two settees in the living area serve as beds for groups of more than two people. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals in comfort and the dining table is another option to the terrace tables. A second terrace, just for The Gallery, opens off the kitchen and accesses a small private garden with banana trees and flowering shrubs. Above the living room, the mezzenine offers a third sleeping area with two single mattresses, lights and table for your belongings. The bedroom features queen size bed and very roomy storage areas so you can unpack your bags completely and make yourselves at home. The bathroom is off this bedroom and can be accessed from the front garden. Please note the bathroom is accessed from the bedroom so anybody with strong privacy issues is warned that bathroom time may have to be worked out. Aside from that, this is a house that is roomy enough for six people and even more with extra mattresses. Altogether a very original and agreeable dwelling. We have made an effort to give privacy to guests in both houses. Though they are close together, each is independent of the other, entrances, living areas, kitchens, bathrooms. The terrace and pool area with two dining tables offer a space for guests to share some time together as they wish. We live in the house behind My Island Home in our own island home. We are available at all times, 24 hours a day. We do want you to have your privacy, however, and not be hovering over you. We try to arrive at a nice balance, getting to know each other but giving you your space. You know if you need something, we'll be there. We are located on the circle island road, 10 minutes by bike from pretty much anything you need, town, airport, beaches, archeological sites. Two bikes are available for your use. They are "beach bikes" to be used only on the flat part of the north island between the sacred eels and the dog's paw. They have foot brakes and no gears and are not suitable for the steep hills leading to the south island. If you wish to use bicycles to tour the entire island we can help you with rentals shops in town. We can also help you with car rental which is always a nice idea for a day or two. When you arrive, your kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, milk, sugar and butter.. Every morning, Moe goes to town very early for fresh French bread, delivered free to your terrace. Two bicycles are available on loan for each bungalow. These are beach bikes, with foot brakes and no gears, and are to be used on the flat part of the north island, from the sacred eels to the dog's paw. This includes the town of Fare, beaches, motu Maeva, archeological sites (Fare Potee.)
