Sanctuary Place is only a five minute walk to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. We are just 10 kilometres from the CBD with bus transport nearby. Indooroopilly Shoppingtown is under 10 minutes drive. . You’ll love our place because the accommodation is modern and clean with all the comforts. This is a quiet and safe area but to ensure you feel comfortable we have installed high quality security screens all round because we want you to sleep soundly in the quality bed that has been provided. APOLOGIES if you are having difficulty booking, however we are ensuring a clear minimum of 3 days between guests to allow plenty of time for cleaning and Covid safety for all our guests. You are welcome to send an enquiry regarding specific availability dates. As your hosts we want to ensure you enjoy your stay and we know you will appreciate relaxing on the large deck which overlooks the swimming pool. There is internet connected TV in the lounge and television in your bedroom. We provide free WiFi and the laundry is available free for occasional usage. A complimentary Continential breakfast is provided on the first morning of your stay. A full english breakfast (self cook) can be supplied for an extra charge. Please enquire when booking if interested. The accommodation is flat, ground level, there are no stairs involved or anyone living above. While we have beds that can sleep five people comfortably we only accept the one booking at any time and mostly for a maximum of two guests. Two adjoining bedrooms are closed off and this creates an additional buffering area that abuts the utilities wing from the main house; combined with sound insulating built into the walls is why many guests comment on the quietness of the location. The BnB accommodation area you will be occupying is at the rear of our home, but fully separated and with its own private access. There is one queen bed with ensuite and separate bidet toilet. The space also includes a fully fitted out kitchen and lounge area that opens out to a large covered deck area that overlooks a 65000L fresh water pool. We live on site and always like to greet our guests, but apart from that brief (now Covid cautious) introductory meeting it is up to the guests with regards to the level of interaction. While we believe everything you will need for your stay will be found in the accommodation, we are just an SMS or phone call away if you have any questions. We do have a dog living on the property; Rosie is a ‘Cobberdog’. She was bred and trained as an assistance animal. She is of course very friendly and quiet but does not access the BnB space. Our internet connection is reasonably good. It is NBN but at 37Mbps it is not the 50Mbps that we subscribe to or what I call really super fast. Telephone reception for Telstra is fine. Sometimes the signal for other phone service providers is a bit poor and may require moving to the deck or front of the property for an adequate connection. Sometimes parking is available on the driveway inside the property if you have a vehicle / rental car. We have electric gates and the property is fenced. But we now have a caravan which we may have parked on the driveway, then street parking is available and, being a no through road we believe it to be a reasonably safe. You will have private access - entry / exit door, your own bedroom (queen bed), private bathroom, private lounge and your own kitchen. We live on site and usually greet our guests, but apart from that brief introductory meeting it is up to the guests with regards to the level of interaction. Due to Covid conditions we are making arrangements that do not include close contact or handling of keys. While we believe everything you will need for your stay will be found in the accommodation, we are just an SMS away if you have any questions. There is little we don't know about Brisbane .... and environs and we are happy to share with our guests or perhaps you are the type who prefers to just find your own way about and want to keep a low profile. Either way, we are happy to accommodate your wishes. The property is opposite parkland and surrounded by many native trees so expect to see and hear many different species of birds. We do also have possums and a dragon lizard. We may be able to accommodate off street parking for one vehicle. Check for availability. If you do not have a vehicle, there is a bus stop at Lone Pine Sanctuary (5 - 10 minute walk). Otherwise Uber is suggested approx. $9 - $10 fare to nearest train station at Indooroopilly which is 5klms away. Government issued Photo ID required prior to booking being finalised and is confirmed on arrival. We do have a strict no smoking policy and request that glass not be taken into the swimming pool enclosure for the safety and comfort of all subsequent users of this space. We provide alternative (non glass) flutes for use around the pool. The property does have security cameras covering external boundaries only; audio recording does not occur. The accommodation and facilities are for the use of booked guests only as is normal for Air BnB properties. Of course we understand that some guests may be dropped off or picked up by friends or family; of course these people are welcome.
