ESCAPE TO THE COUNTRY - wake to peaceful birdsong. Our home is situated on the rolling foothills of North Canterbury, less than an hour from Christchurch International Airport. We live on a 4 hectare lifestyle block with other small farms surrounding us. From your separate guest suite, you can see across countryside to the sea in the East, all the way around to the Port Hills behind Christchurch to the South. Our home is less than 5 years old and the suite was purpose built. The guest suite includes a spacious ensuite and a small kitchenette with tea and coffee facilities, a small fridge and a microwave. The queen size bed has a soft topper on the mattress and there is a select of pillows to suit your style. While the guest suite is in the house, it is a separate wing with it's own access. All the outdoor areas are also available to enjoy. There is plenty of parking space available - trailers etc are no problem. If laundry facilities are required, we can make our laundry available for a small cost - $2/load for the washing machine, $3/load for the drier - although there is an outdoor clothes line for when the weather is fine. When we are at home, our guests are welcome to join us. We love meeting new people and finding out about them and where they come from. We won't be around all the time, but if you want to socialise, we would love to meet you. I am happy to cook meals for you - there will be an additional cost involved and I will need some notice to be able to do this. We are out in the country, and while we can see our neighbours across the paddocks, they are far enough away for us to be very private. There is no public transport nearby, so your own vehicle is essential.
