Gorgeous Wolka Park Cottage offers a private rural escape in an idyllic farm and garden setting. Soak up the peace and serenity of our magical 30 acre Equine Farm. Enjoy mature cold climate gardens with sweeping lawns. Meander along easy walking tracks which lead directly to the magical wilderness of Wollemi National Park. Grab a picnic, head to our plateau and enjoy stunning views in total seclusion. At night enjoy the outdoor fire pit and gaze at the stars! Blissful. 1.5 hours from Sydney. Wolka Park Cottage comes fully equipped for a luxurious self-catering stay for up to 6 guests and would suit families and small groups. You have private use of over 2 acres of gorgeous gardens and lush green lawns surrounding the cottage and you have exclusive access to explore the tracks on our property and say hello to our many ponies, horses and very friendly dogs! Relax on the outdoor deck, perfect for long lazy lunches. Snooze in a hammock or enjoy spectacular sunsets from our very own secluded wilderness lookout! Enjoy the huge variety of birds and and enjoy walking around the farm to feed the horses some carrots. There is lots of space for the kids to run and lots of fun horse and animal activities they can enjoy. We offer pony rides and riding lessons ( Be sure to book ahead) Kids can bring their mountain bikes to ride and have fun climbing trees and play with out very friendly dogs. The open plan home features idyllic garden views from every room and is stylish and inviting. With a huge slow combustion stove and reverse cycle airconditioning throughout, it's like your home away from home. We have tonnes of books to read, board games, and 2 x TV’s with DVD. There are 2 bathrooms and a modern fully equipped Kitchen for the entertainers! The 3 bedrooms all have tranquil views to the gardens and the main has it own ensuite. With a lovely deck and gorgeous shady gardens you’re bound to find a quiet spot to soak up the serenity. The weather is very changeable up here in the mountains so be sure to pack sturdy boots and warm coats! You have total privacy in your cottage and your gardens. However we also live on the property and are only a phone call or short drive away for any help, advice & information you need. We are usually very busy with our many farm activities but will be on hand to help you with any queries. You can call me directly to book horse or pony rides. Small children also need to be supervised at all times as we have 3 unfenced dams and lots of wilderness surrounding us. You are very welcome to come and meet some of our farm friends or book a pony ride or riding lesson with one of our lovely family horses. Horse owners are very welcome to bring their horses along on the holiday and we can provide individual paddocks with shelters, a full size arena, round yard and trails for riding. We are close to some amazing scenery and the Blue Mountains offers many bushwalking options and spectaculars lookouts. The cottage is a 10 min drive from the Botanic gardens at Mt Tomah and 20 mins from the English gardens at Mt Wilson. The famous Bilpin Apple orchards are 10mins away and you can try the cellar doors or pick your own delicious fresh apples in season. All the delights of the Upper Mountains ( Leura, Blackheath etc) villages are only a 40 minute drive away. Grab some fresh fruit and Vegies direct from the Growers, watch a game of Polo, go trail riding or head to one of the many great restaurants in the area!
