The cottage is part of an ancestral house overlooking the lake. We, your hosts, Hari and Kumkum, hail from Kumaon. The LakeView Cottage is an ideal place for writing a book, painting the ever changing shades of the lake, perfecting your photography, lounging around or maybe get your heart pumping by a run! This is modern private space with 2 large bedrooms with wooden finish; both rooms have attached bathroom with western toilet ; extra bedding, a small library, and lockable storage containers for luggage. Both room have wooden finish and have a loft with sleeping arrangement for 1 person. Perfect hang out for kids and young at heart. There is a large living room with open modern kitchen, sofa set, dining table, book racks etc. The apartment is on 1st floor. On the ground floor there are orchards and gardens. Surrounded by mango, leetchi, walnut, guava, and plum trees - the cottage is a favourite haunt of myriad birds. Wake up each morning to spy the red billed Blue Magpie, the purple Sunbird or the great tit as you sip your morning tea. Sit under the leetchi tree and read, count the boats on the lake or simply watch the clouds roll by. The kids can read books from the library or potter about the land and try their hand at digging out onions or cutting salad leaves for dinner. We are here only on ground floor in home. We would be happy to show you around Bhimtal, and can arrange transport for day trips. We would be happy to have drinks under the walnut tree and talk with you about topics such as organic farming, baking, ayurveda, homeopathy, and naturopathy; however, your level of interaction with us is up to you! Bhimtal has several adventure sports, such as, swimming, boat rides, kayaks, hot sir baloon, zombing, zip line etc. Close by there is a butterfly museum, aquarium, folk-art painting museum by an eminent Padam-Shree artist. There are unique experiences too, such as, water mill, city walk with locals etc. An ideal place for writing a book, painting the ever changing shades of the lake, perfecting your photography skills, lounging around or maybe getting your heart pumping by running around the lake!
