Both cottages Na Biru have one of the prettiest locations in the Soča valley. Undearneath mount Mrzli vrh and very close to our emerald beauty you will find a perfect spot for quiet or active holidays - fishing, paragliding, cycling, hiking and much more. Perfect for nature lovers who want and deserve more. There's tourist tax you have to pay at the arrival: 2 €/adult/day and 1 € for children between 7 and 18/day. The new cottage Na Biru 2 offers 80 square meters over two floors. We started building it in June 2014 and finished in May 2015. Perfect for everyone who's looking for a specail location and a taste of luxury. The ground floor has a large open area with kitchen, dining space, living room and a bathroom. First floor has two bedrooms for up to five persons, two extra can sleep on the streched sofa (170x200 cm). The kitchen offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is an electric stove, oven, a fridge and a freezer, coffe maker, toaster ... The living room has a sofa, cable TV, radio and a fireplace. The house is just 30 metres from the Soca river. We live just few kilometers from the cottages so we can always help you in case you have any problems. You can also reach us by airbnb, FB, mail, phone ... Soča Valley is a part of The Emerald Trail, where anybody can find something for himself. A part of the valley is also in Triglav National Park and Julian Alps. The lowest point of the national park are Tolmin Gorges just 180 meters above the sea level and not far from the town of Tolmin. Sports Activities Untouched nature is a paradise for a number of sports. Our hills and mountains offer amazing views, mountain bike challenges, climbing, paragliding, hang gliding and, of course, water sports (in Tolmin we recommend Maya Sports Agency and in Kobarid Positive Sport) and fly fishing. If you would like to discover secret spots of Soča river and its inflows you can find here an experienced fishing guide. Cultural, Historical and Natural Sights Soča Valley has a rich history. You can learn a lot about it in Tolmin Museum, but the biggest historical mark here was left by the First World War. Kobarid Museum will take you back in that dark period and you can check the trenches yourself on the Walk of Peace. Pay a visit to the memorial church of the Holy Spirit in Javorca and Italian Charnel House in Kobarid. In the town of Idrija, just 45 kilometers from Tolmin, you can visit Idrija Museum and former Mercury Mine, once second largest in the world. Do not miss to visit the unique Franja Partisan Hospital from the second world war. Soča Valley is a monument of mother nature. It is often called The Land of Living Water. The Valley of Festivals Soča Valley made its own brand Soča Festivalley because of the number of festivals in the region. Slovenia's most known music event is Metaldays that is shortly followed by Punk Rock Holiday, Overjam Reggae Festival and Sajeta Creative Camp. Its main sports events are Soča Outdoor Festival and a monthly Hiking Festival in autum. A Marble Trout Festival and Kobarid Dumplings Festival prove that Soča Valley is also rich in culinary. Trips in Slovenia Slovenia is a small country so it is not too far to visit other towns and sights. Slovenia's main tourist attractions would be Postojna Cave, Škocjan Caves Park, Lipica Horse Farm and Lakes Bled and Bohinj (use of autotrain recommended). The capital of Slovenia Ljubljana with its attractions is not to be missed. Slovenian coast is also not far away and world famous Venice is just 180 kilometers from our valley. Check the weather forecast before you hit the road. There's tourist tax you have to pay at the arrival: 2 €/adult/day and 1 € for children between 7 and 18/day. If you are a true flyfisherman, search no more, because Soča valley is the place to be. Contact us if you want a good fishing guide. He will show you spots where rainbows, graylings and the queen of trouts – marble trout – are hiding in our clean waters. Off course a flyfisherman cannot fish hungry or thursty. We can arrange breakfast and dinner - more fishing time for you! We can spoil you rotten. We have what restaurants don't. Be prepared to gain a kilo eating delicious local food and drinking tastey wine and schnapps! We are quite sure »košutnik« doesn't mean anything to you (yet), but if you dare to taste it, you will never forget it.
