Guests have access to the Washing machine which is located just outside the rear door of the unit. The backyard area of the unit is not a part of the listing and is only accessible to use the washing machine. There is a table and chairs in the upstairs rear veranda area where Guests are welcome to dine and relax, enjoying the ocean breezes. East Mackay is a well sought after neighbourhood as it is close to both the beach and the city. The Airport/Train/Bus stations are also close by. There are two large sporting clubs nearby which have courtesy buses. Mackay's public transport system is limited, however there is a Bus Stop just down the road which will take you into the City and to Caneland's Shopping Centre, please check with Transit Link the Bus Times. An IGA Supermarket 1.5k down the road. There is a corner store on the Corner of Shakespeare St and Goldsmith St (approx 1.3k) which does Take Away Food and Grocery basics. It is a short 750 mtr walk to Illawong beach and there are also walking/bike trails that follow the Pioneer river. If you are flying in to Mackay there are Hire Cars available at the Airport, there is of course Taxi's and also Uber available. There is a Bus Service and a Bus Stop 200 mtr (near Kippen St intersection) down the road from the unit which will take you into the City Heart and also to Caneland's Shopping Centre. Please check with Transit Link to see what Bus Services are available. There is some traffic noise from the road, mostly in the morning/evenings as everyone heads to/from work, so if you require the serenity of perfect silence this is not the space for you. If you don't have a car available to you, please note that Mackay's public transport system is limited. There is a bus stop that is just down the road and it will take you into the city center and Caneland Shopping Centre.
