With its large, formal social spaces can sleep up to 14 persons, in its 7 elegant bedrooms. Guests can also spend the night in the Rustico, the old stables, that can sleep 10 persons in five bedrooms at an extra cost. Villa del Bono was designed by renowned architect Cecilio Arpesani, whose designs were inspired by the Florentine Renaissance period. The large swimming pool with two bridges that connect its border to a small island in the center, provides an ideal setting to relax. Villa del Bono is perched on top of a hill, and surrounded by 12 acres of ancestral woodland and manicured lawns; it is approached via a long driveway lined by majestic lime trees and from its vantage point offers spectacular views of the Grigna and Resegone Mountains. A caretaker and his family lives in a separate building within the garden and is always available. Right south of Lake Como, Villa del Bono is in tthe center of Northern Italy. Any major town can be reached within an hour drving: Milan, Como, Bergamo, Lecco, Brescia, Mantova and Pavia, all pearls of the Lombardy region, are within an easy reach. And Lake Como, both opn the Como and Lecco side, is right around the corner. The three Milan airports are within 45 minutes from Villa del Bono, as is Milan downtown train station.
