Dee's Place; secure, spacious, spectacular sunset

This brand new air conditioned 31st floor unit with a spectacular evening view of Colombo’s skyline is perfect to unwind after a long day. Located in the lush green suburb bordering the Colombo municipality, my place is easily accessible by Uber, just 16 min from, say, Odel shopping in medium traffic. Besides free WiFi my guests can enjoy their own music off a Marshall speaker. Access to gym and 25m pool is free. Make your own breakfast with what is in the fridge; it’s complimentary! Jim, a recent guest from the US, rated the space 15 out of 10 and gave a rating of A++++! Amazing view of sunset from the private balcony! Access to fully equipped gym, yoga room and full 25 meter pool is free. I am generally available through out the day and will be happy to help my guests with travel information and restaurant recommendations etc. Sri Jayawardanepura borders the busy and congested commercial capital of Colombo on the east. My place is just minutes from the city but in the green and clean suburb which is also the administrative capital of Sr Lanka. A quick Uber ride can take my guests to Geoffrey Bawa's uniquely designed Parliament building situated in the middle of a scenic lake. The more curious guest can check out the 15th century tunnels, rampart and the ruins of the palace of King Parakramabahu VI who ruled this island nation from 1415 to 1467 before the arrival of the Portuguese in 1505. If sightseeing is not your thing, then just seven minutes away is Water’s Edge park for jogging, boating, and general recreation. This large green space has several restaurants and well stocked bars; including what they say is the 'longest bar' in the country. My guests could enjoy a truly authentic local culinary experience at the 'Thuna Paha' (meaning local spice) there, and if lucky, a traditional drumming and dance show! For guests looking for a exhilarating 18-hole round of golf, the 140-year-old Royal Colombo Golf Club is a mere 11 minutes away. This 6,560 yard par 71 course with 38 bunkers and quite a bit of water is a delight to play on. For under USD 75 for a weekday or USD 90 for a Saturday or Sunday its a super deal. This green fee is exempt for reciprocal members. The 19th hole is fabulous too to celebrate after a satisfying round! Uber and PickMe are reliable and always available to get around. My place is fully secure and the reception at the lobby is manned day and night. No outsiders are allowed in without proper identification. There are many restaurants, coffee places and bars nearby and a fully stocked 'Laugfs' supermarket just 13 minutes by foot.
